There's nothing I love more on the internet than watching people listen to Tool
  • @PortaPooper
People- "Hey Danny, what time signature are you playing in?" Danny- "Yes."
  • @danbush8437
And the big scream isn't looped or edited or anything. I saw him do it live. The man is beyond human.
  • @Caverneer
“I think I could start listening to a Tool song everyday…” You will remain in awe everytime. It has been 24 years for me. And I listen to them regularly.

Lateralus is my favorite album. The start of Parobol feeding into parabola right into lateralus. And end it with the hypnotism of reflection. Beautiful artwork.

One of my favorite things to watch is Danny Carey's drum cam of him playing the ending to this song. Dude is a BEAST.

This song is extremely spiritual. It stresses how a grudge will cycle back through your life and present differently until you let it go. Sometimes people don't and wonder why negative energy revolves through their life, like a bad cycle. It drags you down, or it will lift you up if you just let it go.

The scream is the vocal manifestation of someone finally putting down the burden of a deep grudge and letting go. Welcome to Tool. My brother turned me on when I was a pre-teen and just so happened in January this year he and I got to see them live. Amazing group

What is the craziest part about Tool is the music is written without Maynard even knowing what they are doing, they call him up and say it’s ready then he goes out in his truck and puts words to it.
  • @dellywelly5538
If you enjoy Maynard’s voice, I would HIGHLY recommend Passenger - Deftones. His vocals are phenomenal in that song.
  • @lateralus9244
The reason why Maynard's voice melody and lyrics sound so perfectly ensconced within TOOL's music, is because Maynard writes his parts specifically off of his personal impressions of the finished composition. This and his lower volume level makes him another instrument in the band, instead of being just a lead singer who noticeably sits on top of the music. Maynard doesn't want to draw too much attention to himself; he knows that he is just one member of this four piece band and has profound respect for what his bandmates are capable of. I think also, because Maynard writes this way, it alows for his true emotions to come through in his voice.

I could watch you review a Tool song every day for the rest of your life lol. I am not a fan of reaction type videos but I cannot resist it when you cover Tool. Please check out 46&2 which is my favorite Tool song. Do not forget he sings in another band called A Perfect Circle which will equally amaze you. Have a great day and thank you for your awesome content.
  • @briancarroll6803
The smile that crept onto your face as the scream persisted is the gold
  • Ive heard many ppl say many different things about Tool but buttery warm is new. I love when Tool fans are born

55yr old 30 year TOOL fan here… I get an almost giddy feeling of joy watching you discover the power and perfection of this most incredible band. I have seen them live 4 times and consider those the best 4 concerts of the hundreds I’ve been to, hands down. I am usually just buzzing with energy for a couple of days after their shows. Thank you for giving me a chance to vicariously experience your discovery of their talent.
  • @ashmostro
You have officially joined the TOOL ARMY. This is the song. I love your reactions, and seeing you react to my favorite band since I was 14 is a treat like no other. Please continue, and continue to be my envy for being able to experience TOOL for the first time. And I agree with the poster below, please do Reflection soon.
  • @the1khronohs40
I know what you mean. I’m going on 20+ years now, and that long scream where ‘he lets go’ of the grudge, still gives me goosebumps. And they get better and better the more I hear it! ❤🔥
  • @amycraft977
I just went to my first Tool concert ever and it was the best musical experience I’ve ever had. And I do mean experience. You should absolutely go to a concert! You would love it!
  • The people have said it! They want TOOL , A perfect Circle and Puscifer on the channel so we can really do a deep dive into Maynard’s voice
  • @chriswebb7822
Danny is all and everything a master level percussionist might be, you are spot on! Please do more Tool, we are here for the whole journey, they just don't have a bad song it's crazy!
