Played King of Fighters 98 on PC and this guy drove me insane. At least here he doesn't spam Genocide Cutter literally every time you take a breath.

No joke this video was great help for me beating 2002 Rugal. Things I learned: - High Genocide Cutter can be punished with Minute/Narrow Spike - Both high and low Genocide Cutters can be punished with low fireballs like Power Wave. - K' throwing his glasses in Chain Drive almost always hits (the only times it fails is against short Kaiser Waves, or if you hit a Rappuken that's been sent out for a while and when you dash in for the Drive you'll get hit by a Genocide Cutter, and also sometimes a hit in Beads of Destruction kills his sunglasses lol). Which means that you pretty much 1v1 Rugal if you put K' last and give him a bunch of meter. Connect 4 normal Chain Drives and you win. Another thing I ended up noticing in later challenges is that Kula can corner cheese Rugal. You can get him to the corner using light Diamond Breath and Critical Ice. Or if he uses any Genocide Cutter you can block and punish with hard Crow Bite (which is faster and goes farther than K' Crow Bite). Then pretty much just use Diamond Breath (hard or light version) in addition to some combos and you'll keep him in the corner. Apparently the distancing for Diamond Breath is slightly outside of his Genocide Cutter range so right after he gets up he'll try to do Kaiser Wave, Rappuken, walk forwards, or just something else that isn't safe (he'll never block). This distance can usually fall inside his command grab super though. But if you did this K' will definitely have enough meter to KO Rugal.

Here is what it would be: -Attack Type legendary -Opponent: Reflect Ridley -Stage: Frigate Orpheon -Song: Cutting Edge -Conditions: High gravity, stamina battle, the enemy has increased attack power, the enemy reflects projectiles, the enemy’s FS meter charges quickly, and you will get reduced defense. Spirit effect: Attack Power ++

Whenever I would go to Mexico there would be an arcade room by the park and my uncle was the king of this game I guess he played for years growing up and no one ever dared him to play because he was so cold and he used yashiro

I'm so glad I found your channel, I was looking for footage of Rival Schools's last bosses and I saw that you have a (enormous) fighting game bosses playlist, that is so handy (and awesome). And also there's quite a few channels in your recomended that I know and some that I don't, but it makes sense seeing as you, Gellot and all those guys do these No Damage challenges. Quite an amazing channel dude. Also IDK if you forgot but you missed KOF 95 and some of the videos need renaming.

I love this game but the first time I defeated Rugal was cheating with an error that makes that Rugal is just standing in its place if Mai doest move, so first I wanted to be defeated on purpose in order to choose that he got only 1/3 of its life bar, then choosed Mai and waited 1 whole minute until time ran out. In concequence of that I won and saw the final animation but felt really bad for cheating even nowdays :/ (so I complete d the game 2 times in a month in order to feel better)
