Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes really went out of their way to get the characters right and they did my boy Thor justice. This show balances his arrogance with his humility and his need too protect the people of earth. It allows him to be humorous and serious in tandem while keeping him unique. Anyways enough rambling I hope you all enjoy this video.

Odin: Mere mortals? Thor: There is nothing "mere" about these mortals.

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ Thor has got to be top 5 incarnation of the character. This is how MCU Thor should’ve been portrayed, a Demi-God mixed between his love for both Asgard and Earth.
  • I think part of the reason Thor was so willing to work alongside others is because he does it fairly often in Asgard. There he battles alongside other honorable warriors, so the warriors of Midgard aren't all that different, even if he does view them as weaker. Warriors stand up to defend their home and he respects that

This Thir fascinates me because he will try to take on foes by himself since he IS A LITERAL GOD, but he's always willing to accept help when its offered. And hes doing both of these things donto a genuine desire to protect earth

15:06 “Tis some kind of…some kind of…That is a really large head.” I love that line 😂😂
  • This is easily my favorite Thor. He has the big speech and imposing presence of comic Thor and is still funny but not just comic relief. His dynamics with all the other characters are great, and his voice fit perfectly. This show also has the best Loki.

Well done. Season 2 had the explicit goal of showing that Thor was a much heavier hitter, because the showrunners recognised that he was a little weaker than he should. Alas, this means he can show up less... I do appreciate that Thor is always shown to be the one to willingly take it on the chin. HisThrowing back the shot from Kang;s Flagship is a major highlight of the show for me. However, my absolute favourite moment of his is when he defeats absorbing man in gamma world. "It was foolish of you to take on Mjolnir's essence..."
  • Besides the points you mention, another aspect of EMH Thor I really like is his relationship with Jane Foster. Glad the creators went with the paramedic version of Jane rather than her being Astrophysicist like in the MCU, since it creates a contrast between the couple: While Thor is a warrior who always solve problems by punching the bad guys, Jane is a paramedic, seeking to help and heal people. Makes sense that she would be the one to connect Thor to humanity and play a role in his growth from arrogant warrior to a humble hero. Too bad this series couldn't show more of their relationship moving forward. It would be very cool if there was an episode where Thor and Jane, somehow, switch roles, with her becoming the Mighty Thor (allowing her to experiece what is like to be a warrior) while Thor becomes Doctor Donald Blake (allowing him to experience the life a of doctor and deal with the responsability of taking care of his patients).
  • Calling him weak, did you forget about the time he outright just...defeats the Cree army? With the extremely hard line along the lines of "Your army was found wanting!"
  • I really love this version of Thor, my favorite Thor's episode in this series is season 2 episode 15 Powerless, the lesson Thor learn in that episode is inspiring, whenever I feel hopeless and want to committee some dangerous act, I will always think of the line Thor quote: "So long as there is life, there is always hope."

I love this version of the Avengers Thor here learned that he can't stand things alone just because he's a god And he needs help sometimes

That woman trying to get out of her car while Thor and Jane flirt. 😂😂😂

He has more of a saviour complex, maybe that would describe the god complex aspect you speak about. Really nice to see an in-depth analysis of Thor, and how it ties all the threads from each arc chronologically. Been enjoying this EMH series a lot so far!

40:45 I love the full circle moment here, in the masters of evil episde Thor says he kneels to no one, only to kneel in respect and graditude to his comrades, The Avengers by the end of season 1, I lovee the prestige that Avengers ad being a member of them has in this show.
  • The BEST Version of Thor outside of Comics Ever Put on Any Screen.
