Wario and Waluigi also have complementary opposite colors since they're yellow and purple. The Splatoon games also use opposite colors for their boy and girl characters on the box covers. The first game has a blue boy and an orange girl, while the sequel has a lime green boy and a pink girl on the cover. And the squid form inkling in the amiibo bundle is lime green in the first and orange in the second. The colors that are right in the middle of the color spectrum in-between the two standard inkling colors from each installment respectively from girl to boy.
