That raven you spared better not go through a training arc only to get its revenge later..

If a man stands before your posse, eats a stick of celery menacingly and calmly takes a sip of water... you'd best rethink your next actions carefully.

tf you mean your heart got "mangled beyond recognition" 😂

It's funny how this Adventure Mode started with just beating up wild life. Meanwhile One of mine started with me fighting goblins and scaring ones mind so bad that it ended up fleeing and telling all the other goblins in the area how I grabbed his friend and removed their head and then threw it as a weapon at him... None of the goblins in the area seemed to want to fight after that. Then again that was old pre steam DF so it might not work like that now.

Would love an adventure mode series. Especially when it's fully released.

I used to play Adventure mode back in the day. Every run usually was some variation of murdering a local vampire, drinking its blood to become a vampire as well, using my undeath to waltz right through a necromancers tower to freely learn the secrets of life and death, get thirsty and try to drink from a human in a town, have my secret of vampirism exposed to the world so the carnage begins. It often resulted in having an army of like 100+ zombies, storming every location I'd venture to, until finally succumbing to my thirst or a local guard getting a lucky strike at my neck.

Expectation: Glorious combat Reality: Strangling someone in a dark narrow hallway

i remember fighting a cyclops as a wrestler. i basically pinched him to death. Pinched out his eye, pinched his foot so hard it came off. I think eventually he just bled to death from having everything pinched lol

>Horrifically guts a crow within 10 minutes and torture another for hours and leaves it to die a slow painful dead. Yeah, he became both a MONSTER hunter and a monster hunter.

Pr1vateLime has finally uploaded another Dwarf Fortress video! It was inevitable. Praise disease!

I'm SO happy Dwarf Fortress is getting more traction! I remember playing the original in middle school and was fascinated with all the wild shit you can do in this game, I'm glad it seems to be VERY faithful to how to the original game plays! You are also super entertaining to listen to while beating things to death with rocks, love the video!

RIP Wem Tellpraise, never forget his sacrifice.... anyway nice video! Good job on singelhandedly killing that cyclops dude!

Hey so btw in case you didn't know, the blue exclamation mark next to a body part means that one of your attacks is guaranteed to be a direct hit [do near/about the highest amount of damage possible] if you go for it. It's very useful for obvious reasons but it does have some risk sometimes.

I have only played Adventure Mode, not Fortress; the latter always seemed like a commitment to learn, which I did want to get to eventually, but would rather just learn a handful of hotkeys (pre-Steam) and wander the land. My favorite memory was wanting to really test the wrestling mechanics, hoping to take on groups of enemies barehanded and all that jazz. I spawned in a fortress, couldn't find the way out, so got lost in the caves instead. I figured if I couldn't get topside, I may as well see the damage I could do to what I could find. I found a troll. I couldn't manage to actually strike it to any effect, so I played the long game. I managed to exhaust it in a lengthy fight, finally putting it in a chokehold and rendering it unconscious, ripping off its horn and impaling it before continuing to wander. It was probably twenty minutes of cycling through menus, but no other game has given that feeling of competency. It was great.

This looks amazing! Like an Actual DnD run. I think I'll just grapple then and choke them out.. Hehe amazing! Lime we need this to be a series! Just like watching you play on twitch!

find an obsidian tower and sneak around through all the undead till you find the book called the secrets of life and death read it and you will become a necromancer able to raise an army of undead

Of course a Dwarf would end a long, strenuous battle with a giant by literally squeezing the life out of it.
