this game drastically changed my drinking habits. I used to drink way too much alcohol, but when I started playing this game a year ago I realized that I was so immersed in playing it every night that I didn't feel the need to drink, and I wanted my reflexes to stay sharp so I could be better at the game. by the time I finished the game for the first time I hadn't had any alcohol in like a week and a half. I just rolled with it, continued playing, and eventually my new habits of drinking infrequently stuck. Even though I don't play every single night anymore, I haven't ever returned to drinking anywhere near as much as I used to. Thanks Link :)
  • Remember how terrifying it was fighting your first guardian? Good times, man.
  • The horse riding music will always be iconic to me. It’s like the music bounces the same way you’d kind of bounce riding on a horse.

I'll remember this game for the rest of my life because I played it from start to finish with my young son. We collected every piece of armour, every sword, every treasure. This music brings me closer to him and I'm thankful that this game has created a lasting memory that connects me and him. I'll forever remember him at age 5, excited to play "Zelda, Daddy?". We spent probably hundreds of hours exploring the beautiful world together. I only wish we could spend eternity together, in real life.

All the calming music playing then suddenly you have a red laser on you, calm music goes to fight mode, and you're only like an hour to the game and just so happen to run in to a Guardian while you're making your way to Kakariko village with only 3 branches, a Bokoclub, and a Boko shield. Ah. The memories.

People say Breath of the Wild has no music but you have to realize that the overworld mood was set for peaceful Exploration. The exploration and game is the mood and the music just supports it to make the experience more rich.

This game is just breathtaking. I still remember the first time I played it 8 years ago. Man, happy times.
  • I’m twelve years old. This may sound silly, but the entire reason I know this game even exists is because of my lovely older sister! She introduced me to the switch by letting me watch her play Mario Oddessy, and I loved the game. She eventually let me watch her play more games, BOTW being one of them. I’ve never played the old games, but I still love this game and I’m so thankful to my older sister for introducing me to it. That Christmas I got a switch, and even though I knew ever that happened because I watched her play it, it is still the best game I’ve ever played and I’m even more excited to see what Tears of the Kingdom has in store (I got it on Friday, so far it is absolutely amazing!).
  • I just started playing Breath of the Wild for the first time...and I was just literally blown away by its breath-taking atmosphere and emotional soundtrack. This game is truly a piece of art and easily one of the greatest video games ever made.

You know what would complement the serene nature vibe of this game? MOTORCYCLE.

I wasn't a Zelda fan, never played one of its games until I met my girlfriend. She showed me some games and I decided to play BotW. The only thing I can say is, I missed so much
  • @zoemosdell8837
I love the Zelda fandom, because no matter how long you’ve been playing the games or how old you are, there is a mutual respect for this game. It’s something everyone can enjoy, which is why this game is truly a masterpiece.

I remember my mum giving me this on Christmas day and I played it on the TV whilst she made dinner. The good days :')
  • @HikikoSpace
Any song Nintendo writes for Zelda it’s guaranteed to be an actual master piece. This game really helped me through depression and it helped me mentally heal. This game forever holds a place in my heart. I hope tears of the kingdom brings this same happiness.

Brings back memories. When i first got the game, i had 70 hours after just 10 days. That’s around 7 hours everyday! You can just get so lost in this game. You say you’re done for the night, but then you find a new shrine, a new village, a hidden place/room, and it carries you away.
  • @williamg780
Does anyone else just deeply appreciate the use of the piano in this score? How it just shapes the world and everything else in the music?
  • @Multiroester
in 10-15 years many people will have their childhood memories with this game, imagine the nostalgia for them

I played breath of the wild the first day it ever came out, I was 13. The best and most considerate game ever made in my opinion, so beautiful that the music still gives me chills everytime. Now I’m nearly 18 and getting ready to go to university, wishing it just lasted forever. What I’d do to go back and do my first shrine or find my first korok. Happy memories
