Ok counting once more, Helium is in 3 sequence 😑 no little early snare :) my human felt the flow at a different signature !
  • Thank you very much for your reaction! I'm very pleased!!! 🙏🙏🙏 And yes, I did 418 takes and spent a week recording. I can't say the takes were bad, but I just wanted to make it as perfect as possible. The main goal of this video is to show that musicality is built not only on melody and harmony. But musicality can be built on rhythm, accents, pauses, with a small number of notes. But the right arrangement of all this gives us musicality. Thank you champ 🙏

As helium said in the comments, in case dlow didnt check, Helium was trying to prove that there is musicality in a set with minimal pitching, that the complexity of the beat and the usage of silence is musical itself. Which he 100% definitely proved. So insane.
  • Helium is a real drum machine. Clean, power, and precision. So on point.
  • @xthdr5680
Helium just doesn’t stop surprising me every time, mind blowing
  • Helium going this hard on stage is going to be amazing. He just needs more battle stage and presence than in GBB21 and he'll smash it
  • Helium's round 2 is definitely my favourite r2 so far, so clean dnb beat
  • Helium's 1st was waaay more groovy, but 2nd... what a tech piece, what a statement. I don't vibe to it, yet I'm super drawn to just replay it for dozens of times, admiring the sheer insanity of this piece. I wonder if he'll end up at 2nd or 3rd overall.
  • Helium's beat is maybe the best DnB routine ever created.
  • @konnalad
I love Hippy's style. So dark and atmospheric.
  • @drawspaceX
The fact that Helium is creating a beat that could be played at raves without anyone realising its not electronic is just beyond insane. Everytime I hear Helium I crave for him to step on stage at a rave nearby and just blast the roof off the place
  • @SabolEdits
12:58 is in 3 and not 4, it's actually all in time. Insane job by helium and hippy on these wildcards!
  • @20eyesmisfit
I don't think anyone does drum beats/patterns better than Helium in beatbox. At least not as clean as he can do it.
  • Helium is a thinking man's beatboxer. He is so technical and precise, but is such a deep thinker and creative musician. Love his style, how he expresses the art form and explores new territory
  • Heliums performance for me was what a seasoned champion does. Comes in , gives 0 fks about what the innovative underdog is doing, looks into his eyes, does this round , and fking walks away ..absolute machine.
  • The more times I Listen to helium's round the more I enjoy it than the last time I heard it Like the dead lip snares coupled with little pauses(10:59) are so well placed and make it so musically enjoyable
  • @raisedangel43
i love you rambling about beatboxing, it definitely isn't boring. for me it's the most interesting part of your videos. you're thinking differently and you're going more into details, making connections that others don't. that's what also makes your beatboxing so special. i also think your way of perceiving is similar to mine, that's why I find it so interesting

Love these videos Dlow! The minor timing gripe You had of Helium was actually I believe composed that way by him. If you count in 8 bar phrases he stays consistent. He’s pushing the boundaries of what most people can hear as still being in time with rhythmic oscillation by having such long phrases. Brilliant!

Amazing video, I hope helium gets through 🔥🔥
