I could not wait to share this food review with you. Good take out is hard to find in a city as big as New York, although there are 5 restaurants on every block.

EDNA'S located at 2258 Atlantic Avenue, is a take out/ and delivery soul food restaurant. Good service and and good food.

Edna Lewis was an accomplished chef, restauranteur and has written cook books to her credit. Originally from Orange County Virgina she lived in Chicago and then moved on to New York City. In Harlem New York she opened Cafe Nicholson with a business partner in the 90's... when that partnership ended Ms. Edna revisited her domestic talents and took up dress making again. Eventually she ventured out on her own with food and opened Edna's Fish house, in 2012, on Pitkin Avenue. The fish house had a reputation that preceded them by offering delicious fish sandwiches for only $1.50 and 10 pcs boxes for $6! That level of delicious value is still their mainstay.
