I've made many "St Albans - Then and Now" videos, and I've wanted to make one for Park Street, just outside St Albans where I live, for some time, but only recently managed to find enough old photos, so here it is.

    Great video, Gary. Lived on Radlett Road until 1984 and went to Park Street School from 1983-1989. I remember paddling in the river by The Old Red Lion whilst my dad had a pint 😀

    Fantastic, Gary. Brought back memories. There used to be a sweet shop on the left side of Watling Street looking North. It was called "Duck Your Nut" , because the entrance was so low! Do you have a photo of that?

    Great video, shame there were no years on the old black and whites.
  • I find this so sad especially if you walk to Hedges Farm across the fields. All the Hedgerows are gone all the trees have been cut down, Oak and Birch with the birds still trying to nest in them. The Rail freight is coming!
