Backwards Goal Stick!

Published 2024-03-26
So, the last couple of years, I've been playing with my stick reversed. As I say in the video (both the picture and sound are pretty poor), ordinarily, a goalie plays with his stick curving back toward him G(
but I realized this means either the toe or heel will be up, off the ice. If the stick was turned around G)
the curve of the stick would then be FLUSH to the ice all the way around.

An additional benefit is that the curve will tend to direct shots to the sides of the rink, to the boards, and not the slot. It does limit your stickhandling and passing, but my skills in that regard are pretty poor anyway.

I made this video for @CrawDaddySaves to see, because I wasn't sure I explained it properly. His channel is great if you like goaltending!
