Bighit really giving us a hard time this year. They really came back different and smarter and deeper. Better than ever.

the way the voices are so layered that its hard to identify each member's voice is so cool. i love how it sounds and I saw a comment on the art film that said it's a musical representation of shadows, they are all layered over top of each other that the persona is hidden (because this album is about the shadows and egos instead of the personas). The real person that you know or the voice that we know is shadowed by other voices. Overall the song has this sort of heaviness that lasts throughout and darkness. It's not a typical "sad" song but it feels that way and it's a little uncertain, like all the shadowy parts of one's soul. It's like a feeling of wandering, because the verses are split up by the beginning instrumental music with jimin's voice distorted in it which feels like a floaty, neglected place in the shadow of the soul. and then another verse starts... Like wandering thru this part of the soul, without a map. Another thing I want to say is that you can tell when taehyung is singing and the way he uses and controls his voice is super powerful and it has that 'heaviness' again. im not a music expert but the atmosphere and vibe of the song, even without knowing the lyrics (i havent looked up the lyrics yet), is super cool and dark, expressing the shadow concept very well. Im really proud of bts and soooo excited for this album and ego and the lead single!!!! Edit: Sahnaz Akter reminded me that also the number 7 is also layered, which makes it even cooler!! thanks for all the likes and the comments. there are so many intellectuals here!

I’d never get tired of saying it: this song is so underrated

Im gonna sound like such a fanboy here lmao but to me this is probably one of bts' greatest songs ever, the meaning and the passion behind it, the orchestral version with the art film, the trap version with that gorgeous music video, the choreography?? it's all just perfect to me

This comeback will be so deep and dark.

BTS are not afraid of trying new type of song. I like that. They are adventurous. Go BTS.

Imagine if the choreo started off where Fake Love ended

New Army here, As a Traditional Art Student, I listened to music as a coping mechanism for really traumatic events that occurred in my life and I would use that as inspiration to make my art. When I came across BTS, I really never imagined I would love an artist this much. I really do admire and appreciate all of them for creating not only a connection, but a dialogue with their fans that changed into something more than just fan love. I hope I get to see them perform live because things like these sometimes only come once in a lifetime. ♡ * I've read all the comments and I'm so grateful for your kind messages, thank you from the bottom of my heart!*
