The part where pink Steven fuses with the human side makes me really sad. When they first fused the spin they did was so filled with happiness and love, this one didn’t feel anything like that. You did an amazing job with this and it looks brilliant, good job!
  • The way pink Steven was drawn is just perfect, that soul-staring blank look, perfect.

This was amazing. Using the fusion that was already such an impactful moment, and now using it again with a different darker light is so powerful. Then garnet singing and rallying everyone together. Beautiful, just beautiful.

What— IT HAS JUST STARTED AND IT SEEMS SO GOOD EVEN NOW—

This would have been a perfect alternate ending for the show if it weren't PG

You know the SU Future ending was unsatisfying when people are STILL making animations of what they wanted to see. And I don't blame them.

The start actually makes a lot of sense Steven starts to corrupt he swells up at once and the house explodes he shrinks back down and he tells everyone to run and he traps himself in roses room and rips out his gem so he can’t corrupt but his gem half is pissed that he tries to kill himself so he tells him it’s time to stand up or it’s time to back down and re-fuses with him but now his powers are back and he knows ripping his gem out won’t work so he corrupts

Whoever sang the Connie part has the best sounding voice in this whole thing . If it’s all the same person with a voice changer that’s fine, just saying I LOVED the Connie part
  • Seeing this work of art makes me disappointed in the finale, they just hugged it out and cryed, while this has more detail and conflict than they ever put in those final two episodes

Not gonna lie, I kinda expected for Steven to burn down Little Homeworld because when you've been through so much, the tendency to hurt people increases a lot. I envisioned it that everyone would have to actually fight for a change because Steven wouldn't listen, and then when he's pinned down the talking begins Oh well, the SUF writers could've pulled this off only if CN gave them more episodes :P

This probably couldve happened if Cartoon Network just gave the last couple of episodes extra length of time but they couldnt do this because of time
  • Well shit, that would've made for a much better ending overall. I mean, yeah, hug and cry it out, that's fine, but this show did begin with a solid dedication to cool fights, and I'm sad that we lost that commitment. We could've, say, had multiple episodes of Steven inside his corrupted form, battling his own neuroses as his form fought the Gems. Get some cool fights in while his family pleads their feelings out to him, rather than charge-hugging. At least, it would've been more interesting and drawn out than the final rush we got. It also massively disappointed me that a lot of aspects of the wider universe weren't answered, while we focused on Steven's issues. More aspects of Gem tech and society, what made the Diamonds, maybe a bit more on how humanity interacted with the Gems over the millennia. Maybe explore how earlier Gem society was so seemingly magical rather than the pure tech of Era 2, 'cuz that was a whole tonal shift way back in the earlier seasons that no one talks about anymore. There was a lot of potential that didn't get explored, while we spent multiple episodes on Steven's PTSD. And fair enough, that isn't something that's dealt with overnight, but with only so much time left, you'd think they'd have tightened that plot up a bit to finalize more parts of the wider universe. I know the show's general tone had become much more focused on that personal aspect, but still, it felt like a lot of the show's initial promise, its interesting worldbuilding and aspects of the Gems, just went untouched on once we got past the Diamond arc.

Honestly I love browsing out of context animatics because they inspire me to make up a story to go with them. I don't know the context of the original song but the story I'm imagining is that Pink!Steven is tired of Steven pushing him aside, fearing him, hating him for being Pink and his mother. He loves Steven, but he doesn't understand him. So he's angry with Steven turning his back on that part of him, using him as a scapegoat for all the horrible urges Steven has. AND possibly angry with Steven not listening to a lot of Gems who don't like the new Era 3, like Holly Blue, who has no place in his system. Because Steven always acts like compassion and love will solve everything when it doesn't. So he finally snaps to burn it all down and make him listen, or else take his place to rule Era 3 for the new underclass of old era gems. 'The time for talking things out is over, we tried that. Now we do it my way and you won't have a choice in the matter, I'll take your body for my own purposes, you've had your turn.'

At 1:22 Volleyball is covering her eye Just like how the actual show kept covering it up.
  • @gemini_2372
I wished this actually happened in the show 😔
  • This made me really want this as the ending battle. The canon one (to me) just seemed too fast and solved quickly, they all hugged it out and bam hes back. But I like this more fun or more realistic, probably just me but this is still great!
  • I feel like this should have been to ending The fight with Steven turning in a monster in the theme song look like a bad ass but then they get to it and Steven is immediately knocked down I wanted more of a fight
