I read it she was found outside her home and passed away from what looked like a medical emergency. Tell the people close to you that you love them and give them a hug. You never know when it may be your last chance. 58 is way too young.

Right or Left, I'm sorry to hear this. God bless her. May she rest in peace.
  • What a beautiful tribute! I lost my life long best friend last fall to a heart attack. She was a longtime nurse and only 55. I feel the heartbreak of the people interviewed regarding Alice. Such a sudden, unexpected loss. The grief is deep.
  • OMG !!! I don’t believe this ! Been watching her on CNN for years! I just found out right now. She was a very intelligent, civil, and compassionate Conservative Republican. This really felt like a punch on the face! I got some tears because this is just so hard to believe! May you rest in peace my sister. Blessings 😇

One day before today she was working on CNN as normal. Live all your days fully and not for granted

What a lovely tribute to Alice Stewart, poltical commentator, from her CNN colleagues. Made me cry and reflect on being nice to others. An inspiration.

While I didn’t agree with her politics, I always appreciated her decency and decorum. Sending love and positive thoughts to her family.

Will anyone at CNN now ask why so many under 60s are suddenly dying.

heart attack or blood clot seems to be the norm these days

Oh noooo! I am a democrat but I always enjoyed her side of the story. She was full of grace. Such a lovely lady.

I rarely agreed with her but her sincere and honest way of presenting her point of view and her total respect for others points of view made her someone to admire and respect. Her humanity was always at the forefront. Always kind and never harsh.

Sincere condolences to Alice’s family, friends, and colleagues. She sounds like a light in a sometimes dark world. My wife had a similar personality and died at 57 a few years ago. Be good to each other and ourselves while we’re here. We might not be here tomorrow. 🙏🏼💜

She looked pretty healthy for 58 too. That's unfortunate. Politics aside 58 is still too early. It's nice she had people in her life that cared about her. RIP

Miss my mom, lost her when she reached 56. She was good people, optician, mom, very caring peaceful nonviolent atheist, a logical loving shoulder to lean on.

Many people of Alice Stewart's age have been suddenly dying for the last few years of myocarditis...this appears to be one of those cases in that the person suddenly becomes ill, taken to emergency to unfortunately pass away. This is sad...
