GMod physics plane.

thruster is only used for forward thrust.
lift is generated using the fin tool.
the fin tool is also used for the vertical stabilizer and the elevons (which are controlled by wire hydraulics) as well as for the stabilizer on the bombs.
bomb release is done via wire grabbers.

shape was inspired by the F117.
took about a day and a half to build, most of the time was used to tweak the lift and weight to make it fly level.

    if you want to control both pitch and roll with 2 control surfaces only, one way to do it is to use a dual input with values -1,0,1 one for pitch and two for roll (or one and use neg gate). then add the appropriate dual input to the pitch dual input and then pass it through a sign gate. then multiply that by a const (which determines the variance) and add it to another const (which determines the resting length) and connect that to a wire hydraulic. to fix spazzing play with the weight of it.

    don't really remember but the fin tool is used on about 3-5 objects on each wing, and it varies so it'll be stable. each point is between 5-25% if I remember correctly.

    wire grabbers with a very short force length and a numpad input where default is 1 and key press is 0. once you press the key the bomb is released, by the time you'll release the key, the bomb will be already out of the range of the grabbers.

    haven't played in a long time. I don't really remember the options of the fin/wing tool, if possible reduce drag to 0. also play with the weight of stuff (using the weight tool) it always helps.

    the grabber has a short range, so by the time you release the key the bomb already out of it's range.

    not sure how it work, but I can pretty much guarantee it doesn't simulate air particles. It seems to be very simplified and a bit buggy. Also, I have a feeling it takes the ground speed as the speed through the air which creates problems when trying to do stuff like loops.

    I'm relatively new to garrys mod (about a month)... Garry's mod can simulate air physics? is the fin tool ACTUALLY creating the bernoulli effect? by that i mean it's actually creating lift from difference in air pressure below and above the wing.. is that what's happening here? if so, that's so damn cool

    yeah i thought it would be like that, because calculating air physics would use shed loads of cpu and be a huge file. and probably require a lot of work to HL2 engine... and this is an addon so i was confused. hmm yeah i can imagine, i've made a wiremod plane using thrusters on wings and it feels reasonably realistic, only problem is when i lift off the forwards thrusters it stops dead in a second, any suggestions on how to get it to glide more?

    woah awesome 5/5 i cant get the flaps to work= -problems with making them be able to turn different ways with different buttons -getting the flaps to stay straight and moving without spazzing all over I, I just have problems with fins and flaps and whatever ;( pleaaz make a tut at least on configuring the fins
