In this third episode of the Fall Colors of the Idaho BDR series, we reach the iconic Blue Cabin at 5778ft elevation, a true right of passage. And we got some amazing service from Hanson Garage in Orofino Idaho. I had called ahead the day before, they ordered a new rear tire for the 690 and installed it 15 minutes before closing for the day. Saved our bacon, the rear tire on the 690 had a substantial crack beside every center lug. I didn’t feel it was safe to have Murray to continue to ride on a questionable tire. Thought it was an unnecessary risk either at high speeds or in extremely remote locations.
