Team USA just won gold at the 2024 paris olympics, thanks to a carry job from LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. But what happens in 2028 when they no longer have these superstars to rely on? USA Basketball could be in big trouble..

Please. I'm certainly not betting against Team USA in the 2028 Olympics when it will be held in their own backyard!

USA never lost the top spot 😂😂 no one ever thought another country was ever better than USA … remember we sent the C team to Fiba tournament
  • @them4580
Bruh embiid just won mvp and he literally plays for team usa 😭 quit yapping
  • @Josh-kd9pw
Its hella sad how u had to post this so soon after we just won, u had the next 4 years to post this video. But nah lemme drop it as soon as they win gold smh

The modern NBA players don’t understand FIBA play. Those who played under Coach K, KD, LeBron and Curry know and dominated. They lack FIBA fundamentals, but play the same olympics under NBA rules. The youngins would dominate. It’s like taking a taking Usain Bolt (a career 100m and 200m sprinter) and telling him to run in the 400m within 2 weeks of practice. Yes he will struggle, but given more time he will still win.

Anyone saying Team USA have no chemistry clearly dont watch games 😂

that south sudan game was literally a fluke because USA wasnt trying, literally what happened next matchup?
  • You would have said the same thing in 2012 with Kobe carrying that USA team to Olympic gold. You acknowledged that the US have star studded talent they’ll mature with the competition in the years to come. Anthony Edward’s averaged around 13 points this Olympics more than Lebron. We have no idea what will happen in the next 4 years

“And they had to rely on a 40 year old LeBron…” say it louder for the clowns at the back that can’t see how much weight this man has shouldered for over TWENTY YEARS !
  • @eboygboy3249
This mf cant go 1 second without trashing the US, like was the rent due soon dude
  • It's part of the American mentality. It's worked for them, and in four years the guys who sat will get their turn to lead, unless some of them decide to sit. The further the NBA moves from playing international-style basketball, the more difficult the transition for NBA pros. It's an embarrassment of riches that can be frustrating for other nations, but that's how it is until the Americans get beaten, and then their spin doctors will say "we didn't send our best team." The American public will bash the losers until some superstar "dons the cape" and "rescues" American honor. American fans have been engaging in this cognitive dissonance forever. As an international fan, as long as the basketball is good, it's fine. I'll be cheering for their stars during the NBA season, but come international play, I wouldn't mind it if Team USA loses. It's a great talking point and there's no harm in engaging in schadenfreude once in a while. These millionaires will still have their mansions when they get home, they will get over it.

The biggest problem for USA dominance in FIBA tournaments is the fact that USA born players will care more for an NBA championship rather than a FIBA world championship or an olympic gold medal.
  • @captainsimp8864
Buddy posted when the next 4 years actually come and instead of a predetermined guess okay, literally talking about guys who haven't hit their prime and are just starting in their first Olympics aside of Tatum... chill the hell out burh
  • The MAIN reason Team USA loses is because Team USA doesn't play an 8-9 man rotation like other teams do. If Team USA in 2024 played 8-9 rotation with LeBron, KD, and Steph playing 30 minutes a game, Team USA wins every game by 25 points or more. Even the teams that lost. If Team USA played 8-9 players with the best player playing 30 minutes, those Team USA teams would have won gold easily.

Isn't Thor with south Sudan ,was an NBA that player lplayed with the Charlotte hornets?
  • @majora919
weren't you guys saying we wouldnt find for a few years now ? moving the goalpost already lmfao
  • @dtx7487
We still have more star players even wen the ogs gone
  • @user-te5wg6sh5n
I'm going to keep it real. I half way believe your theory, but we don't technically know since other players didn't play. Curry , James, and Durant. did have to rest somewhat. And others never really got a chance these last few games. Kerr was ragged on by many and he knew that, so he had to win, and he pick the best of the best to go down to the wire with. Antman and crew will be back again in 4 years and their generation will call them the O.G.’s carrying the load.
  • You could be right. But you can't deny that it is the NBA and USA who breed and lift the sport to such a level world wide.
