The "armor" near the ship was actually a small box that gives you something like $70k. You can do a glitch where you repetitively pick it up for quick cash.

I’ve been living a loop constantly by coming home from work and going back and when I come home I watch your videos and they’re very entertaining as well as informing to glitches and tricks, when I have free time I play the story and use the tricks the more I learn from watching. I completely stopped playing this game months ago but I started playing after watching your videos recently and the game is way better than I remember.
