UTMB is considered the super bowl of trail running, and with over 10,000 metres of elevation gain, it's widely considered to also be one of the most difficult races in the world. This year, Audrée and I would both have the chance to toe the starting line, and this film will show you both of our perspectives with an intimate look at this incredible event.

Channel Members can learn about our gear for the race in this video:    • Our Gear for UTMB 2022

Audree has the best quote " Just a bunch of strangers suffering together in silence in a stunning place."
  • @LA-mr6jc
Audree at 1:14:56 calling herself “lazy” as she completes an ultra up mountains 😂

This is by far the best YouTube video made on UTMB in recent years, thank you Jeff, from all of us
  • @pekb1
Audrée at the start, just feeling the emotion through the screen ☺🥰
  • Thanks to you both for carrying extra gear just for sharing this experience with the rest of us! So very glad you released it as one video, as it gives a great feel for what an ultra like UTMB is actually like.

"with the right mix of endorphins in your brain, sugar in your bloodstream, and sometimes a little caffeine, you find yourself in a float state where time both speeds up and slows down"... 👏👏👏👏 what a beautiful way of describing those feel good moments in an ultra

Audree, you are amazing. No quit, and the high of realizing you finished top 50, that’s top 50 in the WORLD! That’s insane and so very impressive.

Audree, I feel your emotion at that start line. I’m 55yrs, male and though I’ve only ran 4 marathons, each one I have shed a tear at the start line. For now all the training is for this start line, all the hard runs, the pain, the blisters, the self doubt, the tiredness & hunger. It’s an emotional time. So for all those runners out there, whether it’s 5km or 200km, well done for getting to that line Ps Jeff, I really really enjoyed this episode. Brilliantly made. Well done.

TV quality beats everything I have seen on Netflix, BBC, HBO etc in the last month, I love it. I love Audree description," lots of people suffering together in solitude in a stunning place". Awesome work.
  • Amazing film Jeff and Audrée. The kind of film that gives birth to dreams... Have to say, seeing Audrée tearing up at the start line really got to me.

This is so much fun to watch. Audree I would be crying with you. I'm sure there will be a few tears even arriving for the fast hike in 2023.
  • Thanks, Audree, for allowing Jeff to capture your beautiful display of emotions at the starting line. I can't imagine standing there with such a monumental task ahead and not feeling overwhelmed, and massively proud, in some way. It was one of my favourite parts of the entire film. I'm curious what you were feeling in that moment? <3
  • I'm not really someone who comments much on Youtube, but I get the feeling that you are reading them all, so I had to let you know that this was so good. Much more than just entertaining... it was moving and inspiring. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

I rarely comment, but this was so much fun to watch (my treat during finals). I actually met a woman about 7 years ago in Chamonix that was preparing for this race. I was young and it blew my mind that people could run that much! It really inspired me to be more in shape. I now run regularly and I'm planning on training for an ultramarathon in the next year or so! (fellow Canadian from Qc too!)

The COWS 😂 When they all started to rush out of the trees, I lost it. Great video, amazing quality, thanks so much to both of you for sharing your experience.
  • Jeff - "Want to run with me " Man - "I can't " , that there typifies the connection and respect Ultra runners have for each other. Jeff and Audrey, thank you for making the huge effort to document this experience so many of "our" dreams can be extra motivated and the reality of what is ahead remains real. Awesome job by you both. Magnifique.

I always enjoy the long race videos showing both Jeff and Audree. two different racers. two different experiences. amazing editing making it all make sense and easy to follow.
