I love this. Usually in this series, people will play stuff that really fits the song, and it's cool to see how they interpret it and make it their own while still serving the song. Here, Charlie heard the song, knew the original drum part is just a generic MIDI 4 on the floor beat, decided to say "fuck it" and overplayed the crap out of it. Incredible.

Holy moly he salvaged that track in a way I didn't think could be done - huge props. So much skill

Timing wise he NAILED it. Sure he had metal moments in a pop track, but he still did well to mostly serve the track while of course utilizing his primary skill set.
