I am a 911 dispatcher. We have 5 admin lines and 6 911 lines. These scammers call every admin line we have constantly, every single day. I have answered almost 100 calls from them in one shift, with and average of 50-80 most shifts. It is exhausting. There are only 2 dispatchers in here at a time and when we are dealing with a real emergency we have to place those real callers on a brief hold to answer that line that is ringing. On top of that, we also respond to people who have been scammed by these atrocious people. There is nothing we can do about it. We always have to answer the calls. I am truly grateful for the work you and your team do and I hope some day in the near future these will come to an end.
  • One of these guys called me and said he was "Anthony Brown." I said my name was "Sanjay Patel." He laughed and said, "Sir, you do not sound like a Sanjay Patel." I said, "Look up the word 'irony.'"

Impersonating 911 should be considered impersonating the police.
  • They tried this with my Mom. She was at her bank taking money out when the teller told her it was a scam, got the bank manager involved and they called the police. Thank goodness for people who help out people like my Mom who was starting dementia at the time. And a FedEx truck showed up at her house.

He got a gold medal from being a police officer superintendent of the United States. This is Borat levels of goofy πŸ˜‚
  • if only he was actually in the US. Impersonating a federal officer is SUPER illegal and ends with some serious SERIOUS jail time.

7:46 "Drive safely towards your home." What a nice guy! ☺
  • These idiots… β€œhe got a gold medal” πŸ˜‚ I’m glad you get them back.
  • @TatiQ0
Spoofing 911 has to be the craziest thing I’ve seen in a while. It’s incredibly sad that anyone would fall for that. These people are seriously sick and unhinged.
  • 911 Says: "Do one thing", "each and everything" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Pierogi, I want to thank you and your team. My mom and Dad are getting to an age now where they are prime targets and your videos alone have helped me beyond words to explain to them what to watch out for. Please, if i may, can i suggest something going forward when you speak to potential/actual victims in real time. * Introduce who you are and why you're calling straight away, instead of going straight in with put the phone down to these people, they're scammers. I honestly think this could help massively given the time sensitive nature of what you do and also given the fact that so many people say to you: "I have no idea who to trust right now" * Also, if anyone in that situation does declare that they don't know who to trust, as well as you suggesting that the person finds you on youtube (great idea) - Make the most important point of all: They can trust you over the other person, because you're not trying to take money from them, Nor any of their personal details, whereas the fraudster is. Just a couple of hopefully helpful suggestion box items to try and help de-escalate situations, calm people down and quickly develop trust with whoever it is you're talking to, particularly scared elderly people. Keep up the amazing work, You guys are a true inspiration.

this is the kind of roleplay interaction I have with my young nephew when he pretends to be a policeman 🀣🀣
  • @groorg24
This sounds like a great opportunity for a "To Catch A Predator" style sting operation
  • β€œMike Hawk” classic one Pierogi.. absolutely humiliating these scammers..
  • @BriBri76
I got a scam claiming to be from my internet provider and said they were coming over to my house. This is real and scary that they are sending criminals to victims' houses. They didn't get in, I made sure of it. Protect yourselves and your family. Stay safe!
  • @Brimbino
I didn't think the cop couldn't get any worse.. *FBI AGENT ENTERS THE CHAT*
  • @777lamore
"Mike Hawk"πŸ˜‚missed opportunity - 'how big is the package you want me to receive' 🀣🀣
  • Yall make sure your elders know that 911 DOES NOT CALL YOU unless you were on the phone with them and got disconnected.
  • When you got him to say the name you gave him instead of the one on his script got me laughing so hard! "You are speaking with Mike Hawk."
  • @4RILDIGITAL
This experience strengthens the necessity of educating ourselves and our family about these scammers. Their tactics are becoming more sophisticated, pretending to be authorities like the police or FBI, and being aggressive at times.
