No matter what anyone says...... only old players know the true fun era of Walking War Robots 😭 Edit: Wow! An entire year passed by. I've never gotten this many comments to my comment before! The best part is that I get reminded from time to time, by all these OG players, how great the game and community were 😄

Agree with many of the comments….the old bots / game was actually more fun than today’s complexity

I remember being so excited every time I upgraded the 4 gekkos on my patton, waiting to see what color they'd turn into next... The good old days...

I will always remember the old WR of 2014-2017, when the game was still fun even if by 2017 the dash bots were introduced already. The game was far more simple and fun, no random absorber shields popping up, no pilots, and no drones for instant heals, and no motherships. However there are some things I like, I still like the idea of modules and titans. I will always remember the old Griffin, Lancelot, Carnage, Raijin, Fuijin, Fury, Stalker, and all the good stuff when they were still strong but not too overpowered.

Remember when Lancelot was top 1 pick for almost 2 years? until spectre came in 2018 it was the strongest robot in the game. And ao jun from early 2019 to mid-2020 was dominating. The only reason why Ares in 2019 was believed to be better than ao jun is because he was the only robot who could counter him while in mid-air with the help of quantum Radar.

You can see that exactly in 2017 was where this game started its downfall when it comes to being fun

It took only 2 years for Walking War Robots, from being game developers' lovely ingenious pet project to become War Robots, gaming industry's cash means that appease their insatiable gluttony of profits. Oh, on the topic of top WR robots: honorary mentions to Boa & Golem. The last Boa standing is always the winner, figuratively.

Well great list! Tbh.. the old robots was the most fun time.. like with the Fuij and Raijn.

I miss old war robots so much, i was like 6 when i played my very first game ever like holy and i miss the ice map so much aswell

I miss the days when this game wasnt so pay to win. My personal all time favorite bots are fujin, spectre, ao jun, ares, and leech.

im also an old school, i was there when fujin and raijin were the meta. . . remember those times? yea they were really good, everything was considerably balanced and simple for 6 year olds to understand but, i dont know what happened, i stopped playing for a few years. . . . . . when i came back, i had to use all my braincells to understand what were all the new buttons and menus the game got bored, more complicated to understand, and most of all. . . pay to win the fact that everything that is atleast a bit decent needs to get builded with parts, its just so anoying the game got unbalanced, and if you got a new weapons and / or robot, the victory is assured. . . . . . i dont know what happened, if a bad company buyed the game or something, because EVEN THE GRAPHICS GOT WORSE the same exact same thing happened to Pixel Gun 3D. . . is it just the destiny for these popular mobile games to either, get forgotten or get over squeezed with unnecesary content. . ?

Thank you for this phenomenal video hitting us with a blast to the past. God, I remembered when Fujin and Raijin came out, they were literally the top dogs of the era, and then when Ao Jun released, it was practically unstoppable. I wish WR would only balance things even more.
