All of that waste for a "we feel good about ourselves ...we're making memories" moment.
  • Waste of money, manhours, helium, plastic, response resources, cleanup effort. Environmental damage. A travesty in every respect.
  • If they all got burst at the same time, then the whole city would sound cartoonish.

Oh thanks for telling me, I was just about to release 1.5 million balloons really quick.

Is wonder if the same idiots that blew up the balloons were the ones who had to spent lots of time picking up balloon trash for the next 14 months?
  • @triopster2189
This could also be the biggest waste of helium ever.

The question is.. Who actually count all of those baloon?

I can't imagine how shitty the organizers felt once this seemingly fun balloon time went all sorts of south.

I'm wondering at what point the people of Cleveland realised that this hadn't been the greatest idea. Was it when they heard the news that the two people in the boat had died because the emergency services couldn't get to them, or did they realise before this? Were flights into the city's airport affected?

Legend says that there’s still one of those balloons flying around to this day.
