  • Maybe you could add the raw vaults from sky block to the world border mode. to prevent getting softlocked.

    the worldborder function is good, but you need to make it less missable. chat message is too subtle, and some players (tubbo for example) are just never going to right click.

  • If it was a game mode I think companions should be included, there should just be a different way they are made or created. Having to pay attention to them and earn them is what would make it fun in my opinion!

    I think that the locking of the world border when the event hits might be a mistake if you don't expand it enough and you lock yourself out of certain resources. It will also limit the amount of room you will have if you want to build a base,

    Boarder world mode sounds like a real winner to me. It's been fun watching you testing it out, too, so we know how it works even if the mystic gems would be chest loot rather than a drop via companion. The rates will need to find a good sweet spot, though. Finding one every vault you open feels about right in terms of feeling like you'd make progress (especially in a singleplayer world where no one else is assisting), but that's only if you can actually find the chest it happens to spawn it. Not like a guaranteed spawn, so you will have vaults where it did spawn but you missed it, and others where you probably found all the chests in every room, and it just didn't spawn in that vault instance. That is what I'd call about right, balance-wise, but a player who is able to claim more than half the chests in a vault should probably have at least one upon completion every, or every other vault. The other thing to consider is if the world border has a "shatter point" where it snaps all the way to a normal world size without you needing to 'gem it up' to get there. I see nothing wrong with it being something you have to push to that point indefinitely, but you'd likely be LV 100, and gearing up for the Herald fight long before then.

    what would have been a good idea is making the budding crystal block craft able so that incase you got blocked from making a crystal because of the world border then at least you could still run "vaults" and still get resources
  • there should be a "Asian" theme in the vault where you can find bamboo everywhere i think it would be neat

    this is awesome Iskall! in the expending borders game mode I would personally love to see some deformation of the companion system too. it works amazing here and makes all the volts very interesting <3

    I feel like iskall has the wrong attitude towards the feedback in this video, if several people feel like the mechanic is frustrating then it is bad. You are supposed to design a fun experience, they suggested very concise ideas as a pop-up that's not in chat or a sound. 13:45 from this point in the video you can hear frustration, some uncomfortable laughs and clear overall dissatisfaction, while iskall stays dismissive and even a little defensive? 15:00 but this was just bad, you get feedback and call it copium. Then go on a rant while muted to them calling "skill issue". I don't think people in the group would feel great about that if they heard it

    I'm really liking the limitations with the border and think that it would add a lot to the progression of the modpack. I am all for making this a game mode in update 16. Please.
