tbh if a super sonic using the time stones were to be introduced they would DEFINITELY give sonic the ability to manipulate time

It's crazy how long super sonic has maintained its status as sonic's strongest form. In any other series, it would've been surpassed decades ago but sonic has avoided the power creep for so long that seeing the power up in frontiers just felt like something else

So badass that Starfall Super Sonic was holding back the entire time while still toying with The End.

Another interesting form that wasn’t covered in this video is Fleetway Hyper Sonic from the fan continuation of the series “Sonic the Comic Online” (which even though is fan-made, has had numerous instances where the original writers and artists contribute to entire stories for it. Making it a pseudo-canon extension of the Fleetway Continuity.) In StCO, Hyper Sonic is a form archived by Sonic when he absorbs purified Chaos energy. In this form he retains his personality and ascends to a higher level of power. But the most interesting thing about it is how similar it is to “Super Sonic 2” with it being a higher level of power above Super Sonic, that can only be achieved by mastering/purifying a purely chaotic and corrupting force (he even has blue eyes and lightning lol) and it all pre-dates Sonic Frontiers

Although, "Starfall Super Sonic" is a Good and Accurate name, I was thinking the Form should be called, "Cyber Super Sonic" since it's more Self-Explanatory of where exactly the Power comes from since 'Starfall' is just the Location (The Starfall Islands), but 'Cyber' is the Source (Cyber Corruption from The End's Influence and control over The Ancients' Technology and Cyberspace). Also, as a Bonus, it Rolls Off the Tongue better. I'd also like to say, Great Video!

Honestly, I think that your proposition of combining power sources is a great way to both avoid the New Form Absolves The Last problem while giving ways to ascend beyond Super Sonic. Seriously, that opens up SO many possibilties! P.S. - Also the name "Starfall Super Sonic" is fucking sick. Love it.

Ian Flynn has made a statement in his Bumblekast some time ago saying that the Internal Name for the enhanced form of Super Sonic with the cyan eyes only is Starfall Super Sonic(which you have mentioned in this video).

The form is literally titled “Super Sonic 2” in the game’s files. In all seriousness, I’m of the opinion that Hyper Sonic and the form Sonic takes during his fight with Rifle Beast are different “flavours” of the same form; one created by combining the power of the Chaos Emeralds with an additional outside influence; the Master Emerald for Hyper Sonic, and the Cyber Corruption for “Starfall” Sonic. Super Sonic Cyber on the other hand, I mostly just consider “Full Power Super Sonic 2”, similar to “Full Power Super Saiyan” in Dragonball. I say this, because given the formula Frontiers has set up is the template for games going forward, we’re likely to see more “flavours” of Super Sonic 2 infused with whatever that game’s gimmick is going to be.

Fun Fact: Hyper Sonic is no longer achievable in the canon. In an interview with Takashi Iizuka, he said that "the super emeralds are in a different dimension", rendering them inaccessible to Sonic.
