It’s the first venue to host an Olympic game three times

That's a beautiful historic structure and its great to see facilities reused as opposed to the construction of massive, single use buildings. However, it looks like the historic signage and other small details need a little restoration before the games. A slightly shabby building can have some charm--but should be sparkling for the Olympics.

The opening games 2028 should be the Coliseum.

Great plan. Well done LA!

Did that in 1984

It's a good idea, to use temporary installations + historical installations. 👍 Many and many cities in the history of Summer and Winter games had build but don't use after, with local political problems for the mayors of the cities : others using or destruction debate, taxation debate, ...

Don't they need a roof to counter tailwind?

Would love to see motorsport and tuck and tractor-pulling as olympic events.

The great thing about the Paris Olympics has been the crowds, with people from many countries. As Paris is easily accessible to all the European countries and only a couple of hours away from many African and Middle Eastern countries LA being on the west coast of the USA it long way from other countries. The distance an expense to travel to LA means that the spectators will be dominated by American, so will lose that multi nation experience.

Will they reuse the cauldron from 1984? Will they bring back the marching band? Will they play Sweet Victory with SpongeBob SquarePants?
