Bro I watched like 10 fade videos on YouTube, and this is by far the simplest and most effective one.

1. zero closed (set first guide) 2. guard 1 close (slightly higher from 1st guideline) 3. 2 guard fade to longest hair 4. can use 3 or 4 guard 5. 1 clip open lever setting 6. no guard open position (a quarter of an inch) 7. no guard midway bottom line (hit with the corner of clipper blade ) 8. zero (outliner to the zero with a clipper) use the corner to get rid of the line*

Step 1. Closed zero Step 2. Closed one Step 3. Closed two Step 4. Open one Step 5. Open zero Step 6. Mid open zero Done

This helped me so much. Out of all the videos I’ve watched on a high fade, this simple 4 minute one helped me the most.

I’ve been trying to cut my hair for years, I’ve watched YouTube and NOBODY in the videos I’ve seen, have explained it as simply but effectively as you did man.. I can’t even explain it, it’s like they were showing us and didn’t really tell us the steps in between.. you explained you only opened the guard half way on the very first like we created, others explaining fades left a lot out.. thank you man!!!!! You made me confident enough to do this.. I’m all for keeping people in business but I’m MORE of a fan of being self sufficient.
