Sharing the process of my oil painting "Solace," a portrait with realistic water which took over 2 years to finally finish.

I am an artist residing in sunny, warm [humid] florida! My paintings are heavily inspired by nature and its beauty. I work primarily in oil paint, and sometimes watercolor. I prefer to work in a mostly realistic style and occasionally experiment outside of that. I post oil painting time lapses, painting lessons and tutorials, drawings, art tips, and occasionally artist vlogs where I share bits of my life as an artist. Creating art is my greatest passion and I'm thankful for the chance to share it with you. ♥

Just wow. Thank you so much for giving this video a chance 😭💕 Edit: it seems youtube is being kind to this video and recommending it, so however you got here, I appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️ I set comments to newest first so that’s why it’s showing recent ones 💕😊

I'm finally done!!! 😭 Please excuse the quality decline in the beginning, I was using my old camera, and then switched to the new one since November 2019. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you're having an amazing day! 💕 EDIT- Wow ok I did not expect this video to gain traction, thank you so much, I really appreciate you!
  • The fact that you can almost see the scenery around it through the waters reflection is insane. This in incredible!

At your age and already a great painter making money from it. I think you're truly amazing. You have years to come to create more work and make this world a better place. Just remarkable.
  • For God's sake this is the most realistic painting I've ever seen, it freaking beautifull
  • @DeadGirlJimmie
If I knew how to paint like this I would never stop painting.

I am just so impressed how it's not photo-realistic, painted with single-hair brushes and a microscope... yet chunks of colour *become* photo-realistic really quickly. I love how you made that happen. A blob of blue, yellow, brown here, a touch of white there: bingo! Those *are* waves in the sea. Breathtaking, really. Thank you.

It's an honour to witness this 8 minutes and 37 seconds video of your masterpiece with worth of 2 years working on it. I learned something again today and thank you for showing it to us.

This painting is better than any picture I would take
  • @d3struction61
Her: How realistic do you want the painting of you to be? Her friend: Yes.
  • It's people like this who I admire. The time, effort, and dedication is just absurd and look at the end product, definitely the best artwork I’ve ever seen.

Your process is like that of my wife’s knitting project, she has 15 or so going at once…and she recently described several things she’s knitting that overwhelm her and need to take a break from…it did make sense to me but I wouldn’t consider myself creative…so this is insightful for me in understanding my wife (creative process ) in a round about way, TY for sharing! The painting looks amazing !

She: Draws a realistic painting! Me : Draws a sun in the corner.
  • This is the type of skill and dedication that youtube was made for, beautiful and amazing.
  • @cakes.
i thought this was a photo in the thumbnail. when I learned how it wasn’t a photo, and saw the process, it was amazing. you have unexplainable talent, there is no word in human vocabulary to describe this masterpiece. 💓

I just wanted to point out something I noticed a lot of these comments saying. A lot of people are saying things like, "wow she's so talented! I can't even draw a straight line!" Of course, the artist is extremely talented, but it's not just talent that makes a good painting. It also takes a lot of hard work and dedication. A lot of the time, you have to wait really long for the paint to dry, so you also need a lot of patience. This is an extraordinarily beautiful painting, but it's not just talent that went into it. It's also a lot of practice, patience, and dedication.

the quality of that painting looks better than the photos my phone takes-
  • @yaron5738
What is special about the paintings is that they look like a photograph, like the painting of the girl in the water, I paint in a different way, with writing instruments with colors as well as on the computer, a beautiful painting :)
  • Simply stunning. It’s so wonderful to know the world has such talented people.
