Cal’s journey begins with him listening to Sugaan Essena, an original song from Mongolian band The Hu. That’s not Mongolian you’re hearing though, it’s a language created with the band that’s unique to Star Wars. It’s Cal’s favorite song for ship scrapping or galactic gladiator fights, but why should he have all the fun? We recorded a special session with the band so everyone can get pumped up and feel like a Jedi.

In November 2019 this band was awarded The Order of Ghenghis Khan, the highest honor possible of their country for helping spread Mongolian culture world wide Edit: In 2022 they became the first mongolian throat singing band to play at Coachella, showing further how well known theyve become in the wake of performing for star wars

This Mongolian throat singing is so damn legendary. Bukhu, The HU, I can't get enough of it. It gives me such energy. It's like the ancestors speaking through them.

As a Mongolian, listening to The Hu in an alien language is a whole new level of experience for me which I really can feel what non-Mongolian speaker would feel. Thanks SWJ FO and The HU
