I really enjoyed this movie, its a reminder that there's still some mystery out there.

I am proud to say that the lead native actor Steve Reevis was a great friend and brother of mine in real life. So missed.
  • I couldn't count how many times I've watched this movie. Truly one of the best I've ever seen. May God bless everyone.

One of those rare movies that has heart, soul, compassion for lost peoples; lost ways......wilderness. Men who have an affinity with wild places are often misunderstood....

I'm 68 and a stolen Apache 😢 Didn't even get to know my Native roots until eventually in my 40's and I am Grateful ❤ I have also lost count of how many times that I have watched this movie...It's a great movie ❤

Berenger plays the grumpy hard-bitten rugged self-contained geezer so well where every other man is a college kid ..got to love him

Life isn't always the way that we see in the movies but occasionally there's a movie that is actually worth watching and this is one of em!

So many love this movie for all the right reasons. Heritage, horses, the vastness of the outdoors, and the wonder of a People who found a hidden land and lived as they always had lived. Absolutely a Great Movie for all ages to watch.

It's a fantastic movie. I like the bit about when he's wild camping and asks his dog whether he fancies having a 'proper' roof over one's head or not, then looks up at the stars lit sky, and remarks 'Of course, this isn't such a bad roof either'.
  • Kudos to all the people that had a hand in making this awesome movie possible. As a 9th generation Metis from the Ojibway Chippewa Chief Pontiac lineage, it is one of the best movies I have ever watched. Shedding both tears of sadness and joy. We need more movies like this, movies worth watching, have a real meaning and remarkable stories to be told.
  • This movie was outstanding, the part where they come across the dog soldiers, in the wooded area they were magnificent, what beautiful people they were, the young chief played by Steve Reevis, was outstanding, he passed away several years ago and he was a full blood Blackfoot, gorgeous man, damn good movie and educational too
