When I saw this 6L Bellroy Venture Sling in Ranger Green for the first time, It was love at first sight! Do you ever get that feeling of seeing something so premium and high quality that you just had to buy it as long as it was within your price range?

I Love the bag for its design, premium materials, size, and overall quality. I now consider myself a Bellroy fanboy. But this is also making my 7L Tomtoc a little bit jealous.

Here's the link to the mentioned Tomtoc 40L backpack review:    • Tomtoc 40L Navigator-A82 Travel Backp...

My observations are based on personal use and I am not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned in this video.

I own the 7L lite, 6L Venture (the discontinued saltbrush material, stiffer), and a 10L Venture Camera. The 6L Venture actually feels like it can fit more than the 7L lite, because the structure holds it open more. The 7L is better for packing or travel, but I find the Venture better in every other way except for weight and thinness, heavier things don't do as well in the light because of the thinner strap and thinner walls, you'll feel anything heavy in there. But if I knew I'd end up with more than one bag, I'd probably go with a combo of the 7L lite for packing and the 9L for single use. But I won't be giving up my 6L venture at any rate. The one thing Belroy slings aren't set up for is tech carry, I do like alpaka for smaller more specialized tech carry (ipads basically), I've had the tech case and tech case mini, they do ok as slings, but Belroy really does have the best strap solution for having something sit nicely against the body, having no dangle, and needing no adjustment once set. Aer makes good big slings for laptop carry. I prefer a sling when possible as it transitions from sitting to standing much more smoothly than a backpack.
  • Great review, I just got venture sling 9L midnight black as I try to avoid dirty. It is love at first sight, suit all my need for EDC and travel

Great review! I brought the exact same one during my Malacca and KL trip, it’s so versatile and fun to use. I also own 9L in ranger green and still use it as my EDC. I also owned premium Tan Leather Sling and Lite Sling in Chalk colorway (but I sold them because it’s not good enough for my EDC needs). The PU Bellroy letters in front of my 9L venture sling is already worn away leaving only ‘b’ and ‘y’ 😂. I also washed the sling twice with liquid detergent because of it stinks from sweat and my restaurant kitchen smell whenever I work there.

  • very good sling... would have had it if it fitted in my budget.... good review sir

Beautiful bag, but it seems like a tight fit if you had to put the camera and waterbottle. I might have to get the 9L.

Great video! Is this a good upgrade from the tomtoc edc sling (the smallest one)? I’m abit concerned about the exposed open sides. I’m afraid my airpods would fall out without me knowing so I’m kind of leaning towards the regular Bellroy sling or the Alpaka Go Sling.
