The Complete Story and Lore of Stray 2022

With the sudden success of my SCORN video I felt compelled to return to making the Story and Lore series, almost exactly one year later, and I believe I've put together a comprehensive lore and story for Stray which I can support through the game's events and narrative. I do think, though, that while this is a complete story and lore, it's not the ONLY possible story and lore for a game like this. It very much seems as if the Devs made it possible to have evidence supporting any number of theories based on the events of the game itself. I think that's pretty cool! My Story and Lore of Stray is different from what yours would be, and therefore you could still play the game and get a completely different experience out of it.

Tomorrow, in the comments, I'll respond to any of your own interpretations of stray; and I'll go over some of the specifics in the various theories I was able to construct and get solid evidence for in game. Just like before, I very much look forward to seeing what people have to say.

And finally, thank you to all of those who subscribed to me these last few weeks and wrote all those nice comments on my last Story and Lore video. Seeing so much positivity and support really pushed me to making this video, especially when I was having technical problems with my computer. If not for all of you, I definitely wouldn't have made this; so thank you.

    Looking forward. To more of your content. And rooting for your success. Just don't get dispassionate. If you start to get burnt out there's no shame in taking a break. And your scorn video must've tickled the algorithm in just the right way. It was recommended to me autonomously.

    4:00 yeah I completely agree with your theory that it was BOTH apocalypses that happened back to back. Because if you look at the Middle ages when there actually was a terrible plague that wiped out like over 80% of the population. Trash was a huge issue. Dead bodies were just piling up in the streets, food scraps too, people were dying in the streets, people were too sick to take their trash anywhere, and people who were healthy didn't want to get near the trash or the other sick people. And if you look at current world situations where there's like a total government breakdown or government switch, trash pile up is one of the first problems to happen. Because suddenly there's no one taking the trash away and the trash just piles up and piles up. Which brings other disease and sickness. Because if you look in IRL as well where like trash workers go on strike it's basically an unlivable City within a week. Imagine like New York City but someone stopped taking the trash out for months and months at a time. Also it reminds me a little of Kowloon Walled City. Which was a city without government that the Chinese government demolished in the 80s. But it was so interesting because it literally was maze with several levels and buildings all connected to each other and people would use the trash to build walls and stuff. But it's a good case study and how a city would help with no government oversight.

    I loved how mischievous the cat is ;3; They got the cat vibes down so well in this game. But man, that ending makes me cry like a child. ;-; Even in this video I teared up at the ending because it's just so good.

    the cameos are a nice touch for those who for some unthinkable reason get tired of listening to your voice for an hour straight good thing ive been training for your long videos for years those 6 hr minecraft dog streams trained me well also i never noticed Ceasar's breathing before as always amazing video 11/10 flesh eating bacterias

    Came from scorn and so happy to see a vid on another one of my absolute fav games! Stray me sob and I seriously can’t even watch a video on it without crying but I really enjoyed your theories on how everything might be connected. I look forward to your future videos and really hope you continue with this lore/theory/video essay format. It’s definitely a feat to keep so many people genuinely entertained for an hour without it feeling stale, but you fr smashed it! Also glad to see that everyone always names their cat haha
