How to get a subset of data into a separate data set

In this video, I show you how to extract part of your data into a separate data set using the Select Cases procedure in SPSS Statistics.

The data being used is the Afrobarometer round 5 data (2015) available at www.afrobarometer.org/data/merged-data.

  • Good video, however there is an option "copy selected cases into a new data set"; that is the option you shoudl use, cause what you are doing is "destryoing" your data set, by deleting the other entries.
