Possible waste of time, but hooray for thumbnails?

  • Jesus christ sinix has changed a ton. He sounds a lot happier now and his voice is a lot higher and he draws much better, quite inspiring seeing your heroes when they were less experienced

Definitely not a waste of time. I wish I had saw this earlier when I was trying to figure out wtf silhouettes were :)
  • @LarsWilms
Non detailed sketches that leave the mind with more freedom than fully worked out drawings.

any brushes similar to this possible in photoshop? plus: is this drawn with one of those draw boards that connect to the computer or with a mouse? what do you guys use? I'd love to buy one of those boards but I think it's be quite expensive, no?
  • @iamkarl
Well, I found it interesting, FWIW.

Sort of a small outlines, often silhouettes giving a basic definition of a drawing. Like a thumbnail of a picture on your computer is a small preview of the full thing.

yep you can made one urself. sorry i cant explain how to make it here. basically you load up a standard square brush set first, chose one of those square brushes, press F5 (in windows photoshop cs3) and play around with it's settings till u get something similar to this painter brush from the video. For instance go to "shape dynamics" and set the control for angle jitter as "direction" and so on.. just fool around with those settings

Don't let illmilk fool you, these vids are quite interesting ;)
  • @777Sir
Looks like he's using a variation of the scratchboard tool
  • @ActiveStorage
u might want to make one urself.. 3 blocks of wood for head, ribcage and pelvis, drill a hole in.. wait.. you know what? screw it. x) i would just draw A LOT of random people wrom life. every day, day after day.. till i die..
  • @ImKybi
i was 2 when he posted this
  • @Balloonbot
I do exactly that these days. Dunno what made me do it, but it's much faster than lineart.
  • @LarsWilms
He's relaxed. Not overenergetic and annoying like people on MTV
  • @MIGT7
