I was addicted to H for 20 years. It was the hardest battle of my life. On 6-14-24 i celebrated 12 years clean

Man, this is heavy. So sad to see how “you could have it all”, money, great apartnent, fame, lots od talent, but feel so lonely, and die like that. Hope Layne found peace somehow.
  • To know that he passed away but was still holding a fully loaded syringe of heroine is really painful. Wish that he could fight his demons. He was truly an iconic singer❤.

Layne and Mike were absolutely phenomenal musicians with a whole lot of troubles. RIP Layne and Mikey Starr
  • Thanks for sharing Layne's home where he hung out, mostly alone, for 6 years. Such a great singer. I hope he is at peace. You are missed, Layne
  • @mCblue79
Still makes me sad. RIP Layne 🙏
  • Layne bought his condo for 262000$ in April 1997, six months after Demri's passing. Layne was proud of his condo. It wasn't only "dark and sad". If I had money, I would buy it immediately. It's a very beautiful and secure place and Layne's soul will live there forever ❤
  • Nutshell is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard. An incredible communication of emotional pain. All addiction is attached to unbearable emotional pain.
  • @skrizzplace
Maaan, this is the most in-depth video ive seen of this condo. Thanks for making this
  • @g6ge
in a way id be honored to walk through this legends home, but in my mind i can just imagine the day they found him, the couch tv etc, and poor layne. we miss you layne, mike, and demri wish things worked out better
  • When Layne's mom said he was embarrassed to call 911 i cried cause id been there many times when i felt like I was overdosing on heroin and fentanyl and was too scared and embarrassed to call 911 or tell my dad or girlfriend to call 911
  • It's wild to see it. To know that's where Layne spent his last years & died right there. Very tragic story. His music will always live on.

Can't imagine the amount of grief and guild Mike carried after what Layne last said to him. So tragic and devastating. I was almost 17 when Layne died, wow.

Not at all what I expected for Layne to have owned and lived in. Expected a much more bigger and lavish place. I STILL remember where I was when I found out he died. Though I NEVER knew Layne Staley it was like a hero or such of mine was gone and dead. It REALLY got to me.
  • @hangingon
Thank you so much for this video. I only have seen his homes exterior. Layne was and will always be my favorite singer. To this day I never heard a voice like his. I'll always wonder what could have been. Thank God for all the music Layne left us.
  • @2323justin
The hallways and balcony are so narrow and claustrophobia inducing. It saddens me to think of all the misery he felt inside of those walls.
  • @ChadH2023
Thank you for this. I was just imagining during that walkthrough all the times Layne was just living life in his condo. By far the best video about Layne and his final resting place.
  • As a huge fan of Layne and his music I wondered so many times what his condo looked like. Thank you for that. What I found to be the most disturbing, is the old intercom that he used to keep everyone away with. If you know anything about him it's that he wouldn't let anyone in. That was haunting to see. Also the view of so much of the city that he was missing out on. Rip beautiful soul. 😢
  • Nancy is the angel that used to watch over the crooked industry. Such a brave and strong lady. Special. Rest up boys!
  • @taylermayler
I wish I could own this one day, i am fascinated by Layne’s life and the band just in general, it’s sad to see the way he went downhill. RIP Layne 🕊️
