I played this demo of Antarex, upcoming shmup by 1985 Alternativo, on my Mega Drive. The demo is included in the Mega Games Almanac compilation

gameplay seems tight, with apparently good hit boxes and also stronger enemies that flash when hit which is a good thing good sound fx = satisfaction intensifies close combat attack should be slightly faster nice sprites work but our ship is slightly too big nice pseudo-3D fx at the bottom kickass oldskool font punctuating some events ("ALERT" etc.) cool space battle behind but background is a bit too busy = less visibility a promising project so far but I'm afraid it will takes ages to be released
