  • The question they failed to bring up is, "What are some harmful things that a President can get away with doing under this ruling?"
  • How do we check the executive branch if they are above the law? How do we check the power of the Supreme Court?

Yes, limited immunity, Unlimited appeals to a supreme court which would always side with the ex-president. De facto unlimited, complete immunity.

On the one hand, a president should be able to perform his/her duties without worrying about whether or not he/she will be prosecuted after leaving office. On the other hand, should a president be allowed to do whatever, knowing there will be no criminal prosecution? I don't think so. I wonder where the balance lies.
  • Accountability! Dem’s, Republicans, Independents, all the rest of us, including illegal immigrants.
  • A supreme court justice doesn't even know the limitations of Presidential Acts. That is where we are now.
  • Eleanor Roosevelt said Justice cannot be for one side alone, but must be for both."

The 'inability to investigate a motive of the presidents action(s)/orders.' Is what, everyone is alluding to, that makes some acts under a president, such as assassination of political rivals, so concerning/questioning. The supreme courts ruling for motive is too overly broad.

In a decision like this, nothing should remain unclear. It is shocking and terrifying that there is near no mention of what qualifies unofficial conduct. Discenting Opinions by the other 3 judges are very clear that no precident exists and it is undefined.
  • Not just trump all future presidents going forward!....wait what? Is this America?😮😢
  • So calling in SEAL Team 6 to assinate a political rival COULD be IMMUNE from prosecution. Absurd.

    Inquiring does not mean overturning.

Why don't you look up qualified immunity laws for the police... essentially the same thing😊

Either a SCOTUS Opinion or an Amendment to COTUS can override a SCOTUS Opinion.
