"From the sing-along chorus of "My Girl" to the feel-good beat of "The Way You Do the Things You Do," we are right there reliving the '60s when the elegant, smooth-stepping Temptations dominated the charts, airwaves and hearts of a young America.

Using intimate street corner interviews and exclusive concert footage, director David Tucker re-acquaints us with one our finest musical treasures. Host Arthel Neville (of the musical Neville Brothers' family) gives fans a chance to enact a sing-along fantasy by dancing and singing with the Temptations. The video chronicles what turned out to be the final tour of the original leads of the Temptations: Ruffin, Kendrick and Dennis Edwards.

In 1990 Ruffin, Kendrick and Edwards were making plans for a comeback despite obstacles such as lack of recognition, financial difficulties and copyright disputes.

One year later, Ruffin would lose the ultimate battle to drugs. Afterward, Kendrick would lose his long battle with lung cancer, leaving Edwards as the only original lead singer of the Temptations." - Chicago Tribune

There will never be a group as great as the temptations!
  • Mr. David Ruffin was a great legend of my generation. I enjoyed his singer, acting and the success of his career. The world will be a different place without him. My thoughts, love and prayers to his family and millions of friends. To those remaining Temptations of the two groups. Keep going, keep growing and keep inspiring us with your music. We love all of YOU.

As a young girl growing up in Philly some 50+ years ago, my father took my sisters & me to see the Temptations at the Uptown Theater. Little did we know at that time that we were hearing timeless music. The show was awesome! Thank you Daddy!!
  • Honestly, when I watch anything about the temptations, it makes me cry. They were THAT good.

Wish it would rain 🌧 gives me chills every time I hear it 🥰
  • I met David ruffin. He gave me a diamond pin and his new address he had at that time. He didn't say anything about the temptations, he only spoke of himself , things he had done and was planing to do. My memory of meeting David ruffin is too great. I miss him.

Eddie Kendricks’s falsetto was the most influential for pretty much all the others that came after him.
  • Hey, David Ruffin, Paul Williams and Eddie Kendricks were Heaven sent and there will be no others like them.

Y'all always forget Paul Williams as an original lead in early years before My Girl..Your Wonderful Love" (1961), "Slow Down Heart" (1962), "I Want a Love I Can See" (1963), and "Oh, Mother of Mine" (1961) (the group's first single) and "Farewell My Love" (1963)

We have a lot of great singers out there and performers but there’s only one that’s the greatest and that’s the Temptations, Temptations forever. Thank you Otis. ❤️❤️❤️

tell yall what, the Temptations are timeless! I introduced My 3 year old granddaughter to them awhile back, and now thats who she's asking me to play when we're singing around the house. This stuff today can't come close.

Wow! The way David murdered “Wish It Would Rain”. The theatrics, the placement of his rifts, his tone and range. What a voice!
  • Paul Williams was ALWAYS my Favorite Tempt. He, not Dennis, was one of the Originals. Not only did he Lead, but was the choreographer (Dance Master) for most of their stage routines. There's more to be said -- excuse me while I have another good Cry!
