This level was a nightmare and a half to finish and the reason was not even the final boss per se.
Timestamps with each boss below.

* 00:00 - Level Start

* Mini-boss 1 - 00:10
This thing is nothing problematic at all, it's just a long, boring tug-of-war-like battle where boredom is the biggest of your enemy.

Since the machine gun is too weak to simply plow through the maggots it spits you have to stand back and aim and kill these things while getting potshots at the boss.

In case you don't know, you can hold R to hold your position and aim which is mandatory to survive this fight with only the Machine Gun. I'm not kidding when I say it took 10 years for me to realize this little thing.

* Mini-boss 2 - 02:13
This thing. THIS ASSHOLE. This was the thing that made finishing this fucking level such a nightmare for me without using bombs.

Trust me when I say those facehugger things are not anywhere as tame and cooperative as they seem to be here, I have many, MANY attempts to prove that point.

There is not distinct pattern on this thing, the facehuggers on top of the screen can descent and the others can start moving upwards at any given time and if you don't destroy at least one of the pods spawning them things are extremely prone to getting out of hand at any time.

Normally I'd blast a bomb and break one of the pods easily, but under this stupid extra rule I made for myself this battle became the graveyard for the grand majority of my attempts.

* Mini-boss 3 - 03:01
Nothing scary, the pattern of the shots can be a little sketchy and scary, but rarely I had been screwed really hard (okay, it happened more than once).

* Mini-boss 4 - 03:43
This dragon/drake thing is a little tricky. The biggest issue here is paying attention to its tail, it will lash at you every 2nd or 3rd headbutt and it's far easier than it looks to get it by it and after the nightmare the heart mini-boss is, let's just say my twitchiness here should be justified.

The second phase of the battle is easier but you have to get uncomfortably close to where the stinger strikes to harm the boss.

* Final Boss (1st Form) - 05:35
The big man himself. This boss has several ways to be killed and I know people who prefer to kill it by breaking its one of its "hands" or even both of them. I myself prefer to deal with the boss with both hands alive.

The reason being they're very predictable and they have three distinct patterns:

- A long reaching attack with the hand that's closest to you.
- An attack with both hands which you can easily crouch under.
- A "one-two" punch which you have to move to the sides to avoid it.

Once the boss starts shooting I just jump to the side, though the timing can be kind of scary until you get used to it.

Additionally you can harm the boss after breaking only one of his eyes, but my aim and precision went to shit under the stress I was feeling.

* Final Boss (2nd Form) - 06:43
This one is a tricky beast. I used to have to use the pause trick (or pause buffer) in order to get the favorable results, but I got so used to this fight I can more or less always get the least shit result, or at least the "not-blue-orb-of-doom" attack.

Keep in mind the "three stones flipping" attack has a correct distance so you won't get crushed by it, if you're not used to how this move works go to the opposite corner and crouch there. While you won't be able to hit the boss too much over there, but you won't be harmed either.

* Final Boss (3rd Form) - 10:26
The final boss and I've never fought this boss this safe before. Also, did you know the arm attack can reach the other side of the missile instead of only half of it? I learned this on these attempts and this fucker threw the very first punch like that which nearly have me a heart attack.

Beyond that it's a matter of surviving the "right-left" punches until the boss stops, he will then resort to a "headbutt" attack that can go VERY far, almost either forcing you to stay at the corners of the missile or jump at a precise time which is easier said than done.

All in all this stage was incredibly sloppy and I was scared out of my mind after every fight past the second mini-boss. But screw it, it took me literally 12 years in order to gather the courage to finish this game with these stupid challenges and I've finally satisfied a wish I had since I was a kid and thought I'd never be able to do it.

    The fact that Searle, or the brain, actually gives you a choice as to what form it's next attack should be does reflect on the possibility that Humanity, as a whole, is doomed to die from their own selfish decisions, regardless of alien intervention. Sounds pretty deep, doesn't it?
  • Estuvo muy bien, derrotarlos a todos en el máximo nivel y usando solo la metralleta. Felicitaciones, excelente trabajo.
