I don't care what anyone says, MJ and Kobe were a different breed. Hell with Lebron

December 27th, 1997. 12 year old white boy from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada lucky enough to have an uncle and aunt who lived in Highland Park, IL. Uncle told me that morning we were going out for a bite to eat that evening at “Mike’s Place”, be sure to wear your MJ jersey and Js. Evening comes and all of sudden we are close by the United Center. I still figured we were going to MJs restaurant. Start walking and suddenly we are in front of a gate to the stadium. I looked at my uncle with a weird look and said I thought we were going to “Mikes place” for supper and he replied, with the biggest smile “Yes, why do you think we are here?” I was completely and literally shocked and wasn’t sure if it was a joke. Bulls played the Hawks that night. I remember it all so very well and always will. Few things that still stand out: 1 - the intro music, that’s when I realized it was real. I asked my uncle why the crowd was booing Luc Longley every time he touched the ball and being told it was no booing but it was the crowd yelling LUuuuuuuuuuccc!! 2 - binoculars so my uncle could see the cheerleaders better 😂😂😂 3 - rodman had 29 freaking rebounds! 4 - MJ scoring 47! And Phil taking him out with lots of time left and him not hitting 50! 5 - the crowd cheering and encouraging rodman to shoot when he had the ball, especially if he was behind the 3 point line, and him doing so and hitting a 3!!!! We were in IL for Xmas and everyone knew I was going to the game, every1 kept it secret! Best Xmas present EVER and best surprise EVER! Biggest MJ fan before and bigger after! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐😊

I remember when Bird said that 1st game, MJ scored 42 pts. Bird said that won't happen again, then next game MJ scored 63 pts

Hell, i'm old and white, ( 4 years older than Mike ) and you can't have just one favorite M.J. story ! He was the Goat, and still is !

As a kid from chicago born in 1980 I got to see Jordan play. If felt like the city of chicago would shut down on game night. Its as if it was a holiday or something. It was crazy. Other than my dad MJ was someone i looked up to. Wish i had got a chance to meet him. Second to no one he is the GOAT.

People don't really realize the reason why michael jordan had this aura of invincibility was because he never lost on the biggest stage, and he was always the best player on the court. Whenever anybody tried to talk shit to him, he always got the last laugh. The saying goes, "When god bleeds, you no longer believe in him." Nobody ever made "god" bleed in Chicago

It's time, its time to admit that as great Lebron is..... MJ was just different just a once in a lifetime, human being.

Too hear Shaq say that you don't wanna mess wit God (referring to MJ) is the best compliment cause Shaq called him God and Shaq doesn't pass out compliments like that too nobody
  • I'm 52 and I've never seen an athlete that had no weaknesses! That coupled with MJ would do something every game you had never seen before or since! 🐐
  • All of the stories about Jordan are my favorite stories. They are all entertaining.
  • @capencowl
You cut out AI saying to himself to stop looking at him and saying man he’s got on the Jordans 😂

I'm 65 and have watched the 4 major sports my entire life. Baseball, Basketball, Football and Boxing... I've watched a dominant individual in each sport. People who embodied the sport while they played... Willie Mays, Jim Brown, Muhammad Ali and MJ. MJ is the closest to perfection in a sport that I've ever seen.
  • @jeffspicoli7619
My favorite MJ moment was January 15, 1998 when I got to see him play for the first time against AI and the 76ers. It was a special time.

KG's story about talking trash to MJ as a rookie, and JR Ryder apologizing to Mike "He just a rookie man, He don't know any better Mike" Is one of the greatest MJ stories ever
  • @kaptoxic
"there's a new sheriff in town", to their faces, is like a sign of respect when you think about it...
  • @kitrik23
THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME STORY ... HIS AURA WAS MYSTICAL... HE IS JUST DIFFERENT
  • @arvin6008
You know a player is great if they tell you a crazy story and also impact the rest of their life, and then they will never ever forget it. That is the GOAT 🐐
