CODY, Wyoming: We Explore One Of The USA's Best Towns To Visit!

Published 2022-08-09
We visited Cody, Wyoming, and were struck by the incredible natural beauty and the many things to do. Founded by Buffalo Bill Cody to be a gateway to Yellowstone Park, it has remained that and much more, including spectacular scenery, exciting history, and its world-class museum, The Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Even better, residents enjoy its livability, low crime and high average income.

Wish u had more footage of Cody and all the landmarks all over the valley, it isn’t just Yellowstone. Cody has a deep, interesting history that still shows today

Great capture of my town! Thanks for visiting! If you're still in the area, head northeast near Lovell and see Big Horn Canyon. It's an hour away and well worth a visit!

I think this is one of your best videos. If Wyoming is ugly can't wait to see the best.
  • While you are in Cody. You have to take the Cody Trolley Tour. You will be shown a lot more of Cody then you are telling us.
  • I visited Cody, WY on my way to camp in the Shoshone Nat'l forest in the Rockies. Such a beautiful part of the country and state of WY.

Although the stampede rodeo is large, the daddy of em all during Cheyenne frontier days is the largest. Cody nite rodeo does daily rodeos from June to august starting at 8 pm. Bubbas BBQ is a must to have when visiting. I grew up 90 miles from Cody and Cody was where we did all of our shopping. (Closest Walmart) Yellowstone gift shop is always fun. There’s one store in downtown that sells jams, jellies, jerky, and sausage to die for. Can’t remember the name. Cody Fourth of July parade is a must do as well. Not too far outside of Cody on highway 14A, the heart mountain relocation center and memorial is a cool historic stop as well. I’m not sure if they still do this too (haven’t been to Cody in years) every hour during the summer an old west style shootout show happens just in front of the Irma. It’s a cool fun way to show western history. Also Irma hotel is named after Cody’s daughter. The restaurant inside is delicious. One of the hotel rooms is one of the most haunted in the country according to legend. There’s also a large veterans memorial on the outskirts of town near beck lake. Granny’s cafe reminds me of a nice home cooked meal and if I remember correctly they had huge cinnamon rolls. I believe you can also go rafting on the Shoshone river in the canyon below Cody. This was one of my favorite places to go growing up in Wyoming. My town was never this vibrant or fun. I hope this comment helps other visitors choose other things to do in the city as well!
  • Your videos are so fascinating, I want to binge watch them but am trying to space them out so I always have one to watch! As a Brit I am always so knocked out by the sheer scale of America, it is hard to get my little British head round it! Love the history of the places you visit and the way you tell the story. Just wonderful xx
  • Holy crap! Those canyons look literally sculptured, by an actual artist! Beautiful!!!
  • Cody is a good place to hang out in. I lived there for 3 yrs and WOW! Cody has changed in some ways and not in others. You did a great job 👏 again.

Cody it’s a beautiful town, I spent one day there on my trip to Yellowstone 2 weeks ago, and we loved it, my fault for just book a day in there, too much to see around there! I regret not to drive the chief joshep pass, we went to the museum, the rodeo, definitely it’s a beautiful place to visit . Plus the drive through the big horn forest it’s a must!!! Thanks for your video!! Very well done 👍🏼

Wyoming is absolutely beautiful! Anyone who says "Wyoming is ugly" is an idiot and has either ,never been all over Wyoming or prefers asphalt , brick and steele cities....Wyoming is a very diverse state , with varied terrain, vegetation, etc....can't visit one area and say " this is Wyoming" ...from high desert to alpine mountains, Wyoming is amazing.......thanks enjoyed this....stay safe and God bless....🙏❤
