Bluey is the MOST wholesome show on television right now, Loyal Theorist. It’s an Australian kids show about a Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey But as with any wholesome show you KNOW there have to be dark theories flying around the internet. And today we're looking at whether the show ACTUALLY takes place in a post apocalyptic world. Woah, that’s dark. But is it true? That’s the REAL pickle we’re figuring out today!

Of course MatPat finds a way to make the kindest shows and games about dead children and whatnot...
  • @newquinken
I love that this theory is basically summed up to "Bluey's world is just our world but better"
  • @jynecesar9094
When he says “today, we’re gonna talk about my favorite show I mean my son’s favorite show” just gets me laughing.😂
  • Bluey is literally an instruction manual for how to be a decent parent
  • @KrepsyK
Bluey is a parenting show disguised as a children's show. It's wonderful.
  • @Sypirias
MatPat NEEDS to make a film theory series/episode about the amazing world of gumball. The amount of potential it holds for a theory video is insane! What I mean by this is the incredible amount of LORE behind the whole show. It literally ended on a cliffhanger.

i love bluey so much. i came here expecting a theory that'd ruin it for me but i came out with a bigger love for the blueyverse. i might watch sleepytime again. i actually cried during that episode 😭
  • @cherriberri8373
Every time i feel like a theory is kinda lackluster or doesn't add up and seems bogus, you pull a twist that explains it all and fits it all into place, I really love the journey of watching these videos

I'm actually really glad that Bluey is so popular overseas. As an Aussie, it can be so strange to understand most of the American slang or cultural stuff, but then for those in the US to largely have no idea about ours (except for massive inaccuracies, like how nobody here actually drinks Foster's Lager, and they're 'prawns' not 'shrimp' lmao). I feel like Bluey is helping the next gen of americans (and their parents) learn a little bit more about Australia and our slang/culture, like how american and british TV/movies do the same for us.

For the cartoon theory suggestion, I think The Amazing World of Gumball would be the perfect cartoon show, it has so much craziness and a few episodes with scary things, and a few episodes were they don't realize that there in a tv and to figure out the static trying to destroy elmore.
  • Here's my opinions about some the theories: 1. I believe that all the baby dogs go through a transitional "dog" phase, where barking and growling as communication resembles early toddler "babbling". Especially now with the new The Sign episode that shows Socks walking on 2 legs! I think it's just a growing period between infant and toddler 2. The leashes could be also be used for cats, which are not anthropomorphic. In the episode where Bluey and her friends are playing shops, they sell things like leashes and treats for their pet CATS. I don't think there's anything nefarious about it.

I have a brand new appreciation of these episodes… we will miss you matpat…
  • @eugenecrabs08
I would love an episode about The Amazing World of Gumball. It's cliffhanger ending, the lore of the town of Elmore, and just way too much more stuff
  • @hishamrashid5293
What i love about this show is how it tackles dark subjects such as infertility, miscarriage, motherhood, bullying, impulse control and even death in such a kid friendly way. So good.
  • @emoselohW
The dancing though, such a great intro!
  • @newheights2029
I’m Australian and I have never heard of Gunner. Kelpies are famously known as farm dogs.
  • @edenschaeffer5948
Bluey is actually a show for parents to guide them through parenthood. They just made it so their children can watch with their parents. :) It's not that well known because most people just assumed its for kids.
  • @maroonmaiden6097
My theory is that they're actually people and the girls are just seeing themselves and everyone around them as dogs. Kids "play puppies" all the time. It's interesting to think about.
  • @Fillenbillen
First time the theory isn't actually dark and I can genuinely see this theory being true
  • @belac0662
This show is the pride and joy of Australia it’s so cute and fun
