Dead Rising is an iconic zombie game and Dead Rising 2 is an iconic zombie game sequel. It managed to build on the original in positive ways and its mechanics would go on to shape future games in the series.

Chef Antoine not even for 3 days is actually resorting to cannibalism even tho he's still surrounded with food at the food court

Chuck’s genuine disappointment with the magicians botched trick is one of the funniest moments in the entire franchise. I always point the scene out to people playing the game with me.

I love how they pretty much made frank look like Dan Aykroyd

Lets be real, Chuck Greene is everything every man wants to be. That guy didnt need to act or play tough, he walked into the room and everyone was silent. Plus that shot when he is standing between mutated zombies and doesnt care at all and walks with them to the chamber is chilling to this day. Frank was good, but Chuck pushed it to another level.

Off the Record is my favorite version of the game. It's one of the only times the "has been" trope actually worked, in Frank's case. People know and are star struck seeing Frank West. His relationship with Rebecca is alot sweeter, and I love the end game twist more. I mean, a pharmaceutical company agent being a high ranking member of their opposition. The implications of that are extremely compelling

Great video. I’m glad Dead Rising 2 is getting some love along with Chuck. I like how the protagonists all have a different perspective on the outbreaks they’re in. Frank is witty, Chuck is serious, and Nick is a bit freaked out.

DR2 is just so satisfying, even if I was 8 and didn't know anything past case 1-2. Killing the zombies, making combo weapons, levelling up, exploring the secrets, it was just so fun after school.

DeadRising 2 got me into Celldweller and Blue Stahli, I still listen to them today!

the deadrising series suffered from the saints row curse...1 and 2 being the best games and fading completely dying after 3

The adjustments to the ai and shooting mechanics were the small improvements I needed to fall in love. I enjoyed the first one but didn't go back and finish it until I played through 2. It's a prime example of the first game being a solid foundation, and the second game building off of that. I slightly prefer Frank as a protagonist but dead rising off the record exists for a reason lol.

Really look forward on giving DR 3 a chance. That game deserve some love
  • Your videos are great and so is Dead Rising! I hope you make more videos like this :)
  • It's the best of the series. Oh and that Double Dare inspired Terror Rising multiplayer was so incredibly fun.

This is the one I played and it is such a great game, specially the co-op. The only bad thing that I can find is that achievement where you need to kill X amount of zombies, but it doesm't stack with each new game

DR2 and the installments / dlc were top shelf Spoilers ahead: I love how in game consoles (idk if it was on PC) you can progress. What you do in case zero is get cash lvl ups and blueprints as well as zombrex and tools. It carries over to DR2 DR case west also carries over i think. OTR idr but i think it did too. They made a ballsey but great choice of using a new character for DR2 as Chuck became iconic as much as Frank. And Frank comes back not once but 2X in dlc and spin off. And yes Rebbeca was supposed to be or felt like a love interest for Chuck. Which also ballsey move to have her killed off. Also how the installments/dlcs make several possibilities but ultimately sullivan and the other pro zombie girl are plants for their own reasons. And ofc combo weapons were awesome as well as the bike upgrades.

glad to see this series still getting love
  • Rebecca didn't deserve to die. Rebecca and the protagonist interact the most, the scene is also more, a variety of outside to help the protagonist, is really beautiful. Stacey never leaves the safe house, doesn't advance the plot, looks normal, if you have to die, Stacey should die. Rebecca risked everything, and even if you don't let her be with the main character, you can't kill her. otr inside is also used as a money tool, the plot does not count

Rebecca > Stacey. She didn't deserve that fate 😭😔
