Don't plug random USB devices and cables into your computer. Set your computer to connect only to specific password protected Wi-Fi access points. Use Bluetooth sparingly in large areas and conventions. Don't give Bluetooth access to your call lists and such.

Definitely pretty much knew that they had that device, the wall sound listener. That's why I always cause intference with running water or the shower or white noise machine, a box fan, etc. Or simple silence.

Disclaimer, please never use a USB killer, anywhere, pen testers do not use these devices, they are purely destructive..
