Not just for Metal/hard rock singers. All singers should study Ronnie for the proper way to sing.

Hey Ronnie, what was the INITIAL split with Sabbath about in 1982? NOT the second split with Sabbath after Dehumanizer in the 90’s…
  • 1997, when he was trying to rationalize and justify making music that was pandering to the times.

I find it VERY interesting that Dio NEVER mentions two incidents, one with Blackmore and one with Geezer and Iommi which led to his exit from Rainbow and Sabbath. 1. Blackmore said that one day Dio stormed into a rehearsal room where Ritchie was working on some guitar things and his amps, and Dio said to him referencing a recent press release photoshoot for an upcoming Rainbow albnum; "Why are YOU the only one in this picture? We are a band etc etc." Keep in mind Ritchie did not INTENTIONALLY keep the other members from this photoshoot, but was asked by the photographers to do this. It was not a calculated decision by Blackmore to exclude ANYONE from the shoot. Blackmore said that he suddenly saw Dio in a different light, as a bitter and angry man that he knew from that moment on he wouldn't be able to work with anymore. BLACKMORE's words from a video interview, not my words! Blackmore stated that the way he stormed in at him and yelled this at him was the end of their relationship, NOT the conversation that Dio had with Roger Glover that he mentions here in this interview with Steve Rosen about writing love songs. Of course the love song thing was a dealbreaker for Dio and he truly didn't want any part of that and rightfully so. But, this incident with Blackmore about the magazine/record/photoshoot was BEFORE that Glover incident about love songs. Dio NEVER mentioned this! 2. I find it interesting that Dio NEVER mentions in this interview about the falling out with Iommi and Geezer in 1982 over the mixing of the Live Evil record. Iommi AND Geezer said that Dio would come into the studio where the mixing sessions for Live Evil were taking place at times that they weren't in there and turn his vocals up to a disproportionate level that was far louder than the instruments. Dio NEVER mentions this IN THIS interview when he is asked very pointedly by Rosen about the reason(s) he parted with Sabbath....... He makes it sound like the ONLY reason he parted ways in 1982 with Sabbath was because of the two gigs where he was asked to open for Ozzy's band with Sabbath. NEVER MENTIONED EITHER OF THESE TWO THINGS. ARE BLACKMORE, IOMMI, AND BUTLER ALL LIARS??? NOOOOOO THEY AREN'T! Dio was egotistical and basically tried to gain more and more control of all the bands he JOINED, not FOUNDED, Rainbow and Black sabbath, and the FOUNDERS of both those bands said; "Oh no you don't."
