Boeing is being pushed to plead guilty in a case involving two deadly air crashes that killed hundreds of people, but family members of those victims said the punishment falls short, and they are outraged the case may not go to trial.

Federal prosecutors offered the plea deal over the weekend, and it involves the two 737 MAX crashes that killed 364 passengers in 2018 and 2019. The U.S. Department of Justice later charged Boeing with fraud for failing to tell regulators about an error in a new software system that forced both planes into nosedives, killing everyone on board.

The case was resolved through a deferred prosecution, and the company paid a $2.5 billion fine.

However, prosecutors said Boeing violated the terms of the agreement when a door plug blew out during an Alaska Airlines flight in January. This latest plea offer is an attempt to resolve the situation.

The families should be outraged -- we should all be outraged and Calhoun should be going to jail; not leaving with a $33 MILLION bonus -- for what? A job so poorly done that he killed hundreds of people?

My Father worked and retired from Boeing. I love Boeing and it's employees. With that being said, ever since the Boeing merger in the 1990's, Boeing has not been the company it once was. In fact, it's turning out to be trashy. And as such, it needs to go to trial and be held accountable. The AG needs a spine
  • The families got paid in 2021. They settled the case. Take it to trial. This is double jeopardy. You are being charged for an unrelated issue. Nobody else has been hurt by a Boeing Max.
  • And BP got let off the hook for Deep Water Horizon fines and Exon got let off the hook for oil spills. That has not turned out that well.

I hope this gets to court. Deep disclosures. Money over safety.
  • Is that Plane Crash worse than a car accident that killed the stepmom of an Elvis fan,
