I'm so glad I started re-collecting for this system back in 2021 as its still my favorite gen and so many great games are getting crazy pricey.
  • It’s weird the prices are going up now since the store doesn’t even close until the end of July and most of the games that are shooting up in price haven’t been available on the store for years anyways.

What a haul, I wanna live where you do lol. I've probably seen 3 of these out in the wild in the past 3 months

I just stumbled on your channel! I already subbed and would love to see a GameCube collection video at some point. It looks pretty juicy back there!

Nice stuff, really enjoyed the video. I started digging into the library and tracking down some 360 stuff last year and have amassed quite a lot of cool games. Spent a lot of time researching and maybe you'd find some of this info useful lol. Hope this doesn't just increase your FOMO, but maybe it will be helpful. There are a lot of weird exclusives, those are what I always aim for first because I love weird janky oddities. You picked up a lot here, but some others include Infernal Hell's Vengeance, Ninja Blade, Onechanbara, Velvet Assassin. Many more I could list if interested. There's the "next-gen exclusives", games released before PS3 even launched so they are only on 360, PS2, and possibly Wii, making the 360 version typically the best by a mile. Like Most Wanted 2005, King Kong, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, Spiderman Friend or Foe, Gun, Bully Scholarship Edition, etc. A lot of these sold well but highly sought after cause that launch era was a magical time. Then of course getting the "complete" editions with DLC on disc is pretty important. Fallout 3 GotY and New Vegas GotY in particular because they are substantially better on 360 than PS3, but also Oblivion GotY, Fable 2 Platinum hits, and Left 4 Dead GotY, etc. Which leads into another category... mult-plat games that are substantially better on 360 than PS3. I grew up with a PS3 mainly so hard for me to admit, but the 360 almost always had superior versions of multi-plat games and some are very significant. Assassin's Creed 1 (note this is the only one not remastered for later gens), Bayonetta, The Darkness 1, the Fallout games, Fear 1, Jericho, Lost Planet, etc. All compromised performance-wise on PS3. It's mainly early in the PS3's lifetime that this was significant, before devs adapted to the PS3's hardware. Taking a look at the old Digital Foundry "face-off" articles for 360 vs PS3 comparisons is a good way to research in this area. Also some multi-plat games just have content differences between the versions: Armored Core 4 is apparently much better on 360 because you can update it to a later version than on PS3. Enchanted Arms has a lot of gameplay changes between versions but notably the 360 version has summonable golems from other FromSoft games like Otogi and Metal Wolf Chaos (PS3 got its own exclusive golems). Eternal Sonata was also changed considerably including giving it a different ending on PS3 which some people like less than the original. Then there are variants, some of which I think will be highly collectible. Like Gamestop had exclusive versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas GotY editions that included a map and poster (not in regular edition). Spiderman Web of Shadows variant with an included art book (notably don't think the PS3 version had such a variant, or at least I've never seen one). Simpson's Game with included poster. Velvet Assassin with bonus disc. Timeshift with bonus DVD (also another example where apparently the PS3 port is way worse performance-wise). Etc. Since not much attention has been given to 360 collecting before now a lot of people don't distinguish between these variants so you can usually grab a cool variant for the same price as the regular edition. That was long 😅

Idk about yall but I've been hitting value village alot for 360 games. I found original nfs most wanted for 4 bucks. Along with others. I ended up spending like 20 bucks for over 100 bucks worth of games.

It's partly because people are confusing the 360 store closing with the removal of ALL 360 digital games sales everywhere; you'll still be able to buy 360 games on XO and Series X (though some will indeed be lost forever...), and partly because the digital gaming scene now has descended into actual farce where big companies can, seemingly with little to no warning, delist games and even potentially (Ubisoft: The Crew) outright take them away... You don't own your games on Steam or (with the exception of GOG) anywhere digitally. Other than GOG physical console media is the way to go. Even PS4 and PS5 are still mostly on the actual disc. It doesn't hurt that the 7th gen games rock too... Nice collection.
  • @TucBroder
Games are not increasing in price because the store is closing, but because Youtubers are talking about the games all the time, thus increasing interest and prices. Anyways, I'm glad I'm in Europe where prices are still low.
