I love watching Kai surfing, it takes me back to when I was a Marine in the 80’s. Our motor pool was 50’ from DelMar beach on Camp Pendleton. I surfed there and Oceanside pier. I was never a good surfer but I loved it every time. Sitting past the break with your friends has no equal. Tom Curren was my idol to show how long ago it was. I miss the water. Always a great time watching Kai

I have to ask: What if you coincidentally hook a dencent sized Wahoo or a Tuna that out flight reaction decides to go on a dive to 500m. Can you unclip that line quickly enough? The thought of hooking a big one is scary! But nevertheless an impressive, innovative approach!
