Heads! WOW! What a King Kong of a venue Sphere is! Totally mind blowing! I filmed a bit of the hellish but gorgeous drive down, arrival, and then on into all three shows. Had floor two nights and a crazy cool end seat in the 210 section the other. Hard to describe and NO VIDEO does it justice. Its truly that amazing when you are inside. Flying, levitating, floating and sometimes holding on are a few ways to describe the multitude of feelings you experience. It's surreal!
Weekend #2 coming up!! Ill have a recap of that also sometime next week after another 1000 mile drive back.
Shot on Maximum Mushroom Focus, as always, on The Rainier Unsteady Cam!

Tour Head details forty years of crazy road stories, spanning my teen to adult life traveling to experience The Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band and now, Dead and Company. Tour Head chronicles the road trips, acid trips, and mind flips, and all the ensuing hijinks that went down inside, outside and in between those hundreds of concerts I attended.
In a sense, we all became an individual part of the Grateful Dead shows and a collective part of the parking lot scene that evolved into “Shakedown Street”. Tour Head rolls down a window to the ways of the road and the extreme lengths Tour Heads will go, sometimes running literally on fumes… all for that miracle ticket to enjoy one more Grateful Dead gig.
A humorous, yet unflinching look at a life spent in pursuit of a musical dream. Told from the perspective of someone who is not a musician in a traveling band, just a rabid fan, so obsessed that darkness would set in if even a few shows were missed!
From being pulled over on acid in Utah, to selling the standard veggie sandwiches, to smuggling weed, to dancing in Madison Square Garden, the stories, much like the music, never stopped. So, I’m telling them to you now, while the most precious memories are still intact! Join myself and my friends on our journey of awakening, experienced on the road, living it up across America, following the legendary tripping earth ship known as The Grateful Dead.

NOTE: Nitrous Balloons in Shower: Allow balloon to warm up from tank temp to room temp first. They explode on contact with the water if not!!

I don't think I could handle a 100 foot tall John Mayer head. Holy smokes what a good trip. It must have been super ocular retinal overloaded visual stimulus. I wonder how many people creamed themselves
  • On the road again 🌄🚙 that reminds of one of my favourite movies, Vanishing Point.

"Roll right through the night, roll right on through the night". Little Feat. "Coming, coming coming around". The SYF. Looks like the "visuals" were pretty intense. I'm guessing it was worth the "trip". LOL.

Thankz a ton for sharing Tours- I can hear the excitement & joy in your voice as you give us the tour; such a great feeling & such a wild venue!❤

From the acid tests to this.. the surviving boys have been on a wild ride! People who think Jerry wouldn't be for this are lames, dude was always ready to accept new forms of technology to improve the performance, was always "searching for the sound" so to speak
  • Felt so luck to be there for the show on the 21st! First show, mind blown, life changed

Such a great time there for week 3. The visuals were a trip to say the least. And the Haptic seats were wild during drums. Only complaints i have is that the overall sound just isn't loud enough. You can easily hear anyone talking within a few rows from wherever you're sitting. And whoever is mixing the soundboard had Oteil way too low in the mix. The guitars were way louder. His bass was getting buried except for when he was playing hiigh notes way down at the bottom of the fretboard. Besides that and Vegas being lame AF I still might go back in August. I'd only do GA or the 100s sections instead of the 200s if I go. It's certainly a wild place to see them. It was nuts the way they were able to make the stage look like it was flying through the air. Most of the security was alright except for the 3rd night when some of them were hassling me and others to put our joints out. Besides Vegas really sucking and having all roads lead you to casinos I'd go back to see them and leave Vegas soon after the 3rd show ended.
