- In Japan, May 5th is Children's Day. Although it has become less common these days, there is a custom of putting up carp streamers in the garden. Carp swim powerfully against the rapid current of water. By displaying carp-shaped streamers high in the sky, we wish for the healthy growth of children.
- I ran a train on a plate to celebrate Children's Day. A lot of friends came together. I made a carp streamer using fried shrimp and bamboo wheels.
