Jedi Master Shaak Ti might not be your first choice to head the cloning operations of Tipoca City. She's a powerful Jedi who shares an intimate relationship with nature, putting her at odds with Kaminoans more scientific focused endeavors.

  • The fact that the clones were technically child soldiers is extremely overlooked but should've been explored in the show. They were physically in their mid-twenties by the end of the war but only 13 years old. Their mental immaturity isn't seen except in extreme cases like Wrecker.
  • I like the theory that the Kaminoans kept the Clone Army secret for so long because they didn't want their client, the Republic and by extention the Jedi, looking over their shoulder. Now, Shaak Ti is there and they can't just kill off clones that are seen as failures.

It has to do with Shaak Ti's sense of empathy and compassion. It's easier for the Clones to respect her than it is for a Jedi like Mace Windu.

In Legends, the reason no Clone went to Shaak Ti's chambers was because none of them had the stomach to execute her. Before the Clone War, they caould bust a cap in any Jedi no problem. But Shaak Ti was like a mother they never had.

Jedi Master Shaak Ti is definitely one of my favorites of the Jedi Order. She just always seemed to have that vibe of discrete badass-ness. Even her name, to me, sounds like a stage name she adopted early in her life while performing as a Jedi-Gangster rapper. "Villains try to get at me by creeping through the night, but I've already sensed them coming and cut 'em down with the light. Try to snipe me out with a blaster, and if you don't straight miss, I'll send the blast back at you, make you a dead piece of Sith." - Jedi-MC Shaak Ti (from her legendary days as a Jedi-Gangster rapper.) (edit: spelling correction)

She also has like the most on screen deaths. Stabbed by grevious, stabbed by anakin, bested by starkiller, and killed on kamino.
  • “She wasn’t repulsive to look at” might be the hardest line in a while
  • I now see why Shaak Ti didn't fight against the clones during the Raid at The Jedi Temple. She trusted them to do right by the Jedi. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced & she did not figure Anakin into that mindset.

I think that there are two types of nerds. The ones who watched the films hundreds of times and even know every word, and there is there type of nerd, which are so much in the theme, they can look behind the canvas. Really cool and interesting to see that, just beautiful.

Not just Shaak Ti, but the other Jedi's who treated the clones are like parent figures to the clones.

I always felt like the idea that Obi-Wan somehow made the wrong or non-Jedi choice by choosing to help Coruscant rather than Mandalore made no sense. Either way, a lot of innocent people were going to die. But Coruscant being lost or horribly damaged would be really bad for a lot of people who aren't on Coruscant itself. Meanwhile, Mandalore had spent the entire war shifting between demanding the Republic f*ck off and leave them alone, and desperately begging the Republic for help with their own issues. There was no world in which a rational person, Jedi or no, would have chosen to help Mandalore over Coruscant in that situation.

It makes me curious if Shaak Ti ever got the chance to meet Omega off screen?
  • @wangbot47
I wanted more episodes that centered around Shaak Ti
  • Anakin must be the fun older brother 😂 Ahsoka is the little sis that they protect but ends up being the protected Obi Wan is the responsible father figure who's just as trolling as Anakin

Shaak Ti became an easy favorite when she survived alongside Aayla Secure in the 2D animated series against Grievous, and then moved on to face him during is attempt to capture Palpatine. Granted this was when Grievous was an actual threat, but I just thought it was amazing how she held her own the way she did.
  • @Embo_Marrok
Palpatine gets too much credit as a mastermind. The grand plan was put together by generations of Sith. Palpatine didn't come up with it all by himself. I mean come on. He was defeated by Vader who picked him up and threw him into a pit, and by a block spamming Rey. Plus many of his decisions made the Empire vulnerable.

I’m a huge fan of Shaak Ti since TFU. Also in TCW she is badass. I hope she’s still alive.
  • @starkillerab1582
Shaak Ti Was practically Jedi Master Yaddle but for the Clones
  • @lorigoshert6667
Do we know how each Jedi voted regarding Ahsoka? I thought all we knew was that the vote was not unanimous. I'm assuming Plo Koon and Obi-Wan voted against it, and maybe also Yoda.
  • Well, she was a better choice than Luminara that is for sure. And she treated them like Padawans and actually had good military bearing.
